After trying Mag-10 with good results, but terrible insomnia, I am wondering if anyone has any suggestions, experiences, etc. to share with me regarding 4AD-EC. I plan on starting a cycle on Monday and would like to get the most bang for my buck. I haven’t seen much discussion about it and tried a search and came up with nada. Thanks, Herc
I’m sorry to say that if MAG-10 caused you insomnia, the 4-AD-EC product would probably be no better in that regard, or at most little better, since the problem is at least mostly due to the CNS stimulant activity of the 4-AD delivered by either product.
If the insomnia is just undoable, with things like kava kava (e.g. the Alluna product) not being satisfactory for you, then you could try Nandrosol if you can still get it from a retailer. Nandrosol did not have that effect or if it had any at all it was certainly far less and was very satisfactory to those bothered in this respect by Androsol.
I posted the same question last night and somehow it got lost. I too would appreciate any info about dosages. what’s the recommended cycle? how do I split the dose for a four or six week FF?
Tim Patterson covers all the 4-AD-EC stuff in his “Behind the Scenes” column. Just look through the last 4 or 5 of them in the Previous Issues section.
Mr. Roberts, thank you for the info, though that is, of course, the last thing I wanted to hear
Having already purchased it, I will try the Kava-Kava suggestion and hope for the best.
TEK - Thanks for pointing me in the right direction, issue #209 BTS, I had read it while on Mag-10 and not paid attention to the 4AD-EC info at the time. Thanks. Herc
Hey, I’m sorry, didn’t say what I meant, some sort of brain slip. Alluna is a valerian product, and valerian is what I had in mind. Kava kava does also make it easier to sleep though. Combining both can be good but if using only one, I’d use the Alluna.
try taking 3-12 mg of melatonin before u sleep… knocks me right out
I have taken Mag-10 and am currently taking 4AD-EC. I had problems sleeping when I was taking the Mag-10. I slept ok, it was just restless. I am sleeping much better during this cycle of 4AD-EC. I do take 6-12mg of melatonin every night. I was taking the same amount during the Mag-10 cycle but still couldn’t sleep well. I like the 4AD-EC a little better in that regard.
Thanks, Kirk, that’s good info. I myself
don’t have sleep problems on androgens and
at this point there just isn’t enough feedback
to come to definite conclusions: the best
I could do was to offer an estimation that
if someone was unhappy with MAG-10 in this regard they probably would be with 4-AD-EC also. A single case doesn’t prove the opposite but every time someone shares information like this, it helps everyone. Thanks!
Try adding some ZMA about 30-60 min before bed. I some times think I am not sleeping but my wife elbow me to stop snoring. ZMA seems to help this and real sleeplessness while on MAG-10.
you could also try humanovar on an empty stomach, it really helps me fall asleep.
Mr. Roberts, just wanted to let you know that so far I haven’t had any insomnia problems with the 4AD-EC, having been on it for four days now. BTW, this stuff tastes a whole lot better than the original Mag-10. Thanks for replying to my query. Herc
I am interested to know from those who have used both Mag-10 and 4AD-ED if they get similar results or if one is superior to the other in that aspect.
To adam…
Mag-10 is superior due to the synergistic combonation of Androste-1-ene AND 4-androstenediol. The former a class one steroid (which binds tightly to the AR) while the latter delivers it’s anabolic effects in other ways. However Mag-10 can be cycled about 2 weeks on-4 weeks off (generally) while 4AD-EC can be cycled as much as 8 weeks stright (correct me if I’m wrong on this Bill)
