I agree. They are indeed muscular but I can’t help finding them a bit similarly looking, as with many bodybuilders today. As much as I love bodybuilding, I get my inspiration from old school bodybuilders. There’s just something awkward with too much volume, that makes the symmetry go out the door. Not to mention the health risks involved in both building and carrying such volume.
In short: These guys are the bodybuilding equivalent to the previously mentioned Priapus (@flappinit).

I’d be curious to hear your thoughts on the looks of Cbum and Terrance Ruffian. They throw back more to the 90s and older (as far as I can tell), but the competition level between Dorian, Flex, Shawn, all the others from 90s was crazy. It seems like they all pushed each other to be better.

In all seriousness, it’s not that he’s not natty - no matter how much of a genetic freak you are, you’ll never look like that, or anything close to that - it’s about the fact that true genetic freaks would, in theory, get to where he’s at pretty quickly with some assistance, and somebody who looks like a skinny bag of ass would need a whole pharmacy to look half that guy’s size.

Interestingly this is not always the case
Rarely you get otherwise average looking guys who are “hyper responders”. But statistically speaking this likely wouldn’t be the case here. Chances are his heart is about to explode because it’s so hyooge and jacked.
I wonder how quickly he progressed. Did he make the majority of his gains 1-2 years after the photo or did he really manage to keep continually progressing over ten years without stagnating.

Yeah, I accounted for this before, but I don’t know how much I actually believe it. Who knows. I’m mostly thinking about his family and friends. The whole attitude that I see, even in here, of “I’m here for a good time, I don’t care if I die young”, etc. is sad, no matter how you slice it. Either you have nobody who loves or cares for you, and you die, and that’s sad, or you have someone, or many people, who love and care for you, and you die, and they’re sad. The notion of “it’s my life” doesn’t apply when you talk about hurting other people, and the idea that voluntarily shaving years off of your own life doesn’t hurt other people, provided there’s anyone on earth who cares about you, is nonsense.
Again, this is kind of a moot point in the bodybuilding forum, I just wish it wasn’t, haha.
