46 years old, 195 lbs, 8 months in lifting westside. raw:
Today…2015
365…425
255 TnG…295
475…575
I failed at 385 squat last month after a lot of sets working up to that weight and think it’s in me today. I can smell 405 so I figger 425 for a year’s worth of work is reasonable.
Bench, well, I suck. 295 TnG may be a stretch. I’m 5’9" with a 6’2" wingspan so that may have something to do with it.
Deads, pulled 475 fast last month, and today pulled 425 + 160 lbs of chain. I know I can pull 500 today and can lock out 550. So I’m going big with my goals on deads.
I’ll join in… Total 907.5kg/2000lb in the 83kg/183lb class in IPF single ply lifting. However it comes together is fine by me, but I expect 345/235/327.5 give or take! Current bests are 332.5/230/317.5= 880kg. Best of luck to everyone else here in achieving their goals.
right now:
bench 385
squat 525
deadlift 600s? some where between 600 and 650
bw: 195-200
Goal by 2015:
405 bench (i think ill easily get this, might have to up it)
squat 600
deadlift 700
bw: stay leanish, 210
More into muscle building then strength, so I won’t be actively pursuing these goals besides the bench, but I’m confident ill at least graze these goals
Squat (wrapped): 700
Bench Press: 365 (I have long arms and suck at bench)
Deadlift: 650
I’ve competed once (October 2014) and have meet bests of 650/350/625
After the meet I’m changing everything up and I’m going to try to get as lean as possible until the end of the year.
I’m currently around 390 and plan to get down to 275 and try to maintain strength.
I’m still a relative beginner as I’ve only been lifting weights for 18 months now. To be more exact, 18 months after a 13 year layoff after my college sports eligibility was up.
I wasn’t talking about anyone here (as meatheads), mostly those who are talking down to others. I do watch and read quite a bit, especially from T Nation coaches. I did learn a lot of good technique from watching Dave Tate bench press videos.
Goals by end of 2015 -
Squat: 180kgs
Bench: 100kgs
Deadlift 220kgs
OHP: 70kgs(?)
They seem pretty ridiculous to me to be honest but f*** it, nothing great was ever achieved by being realistic. I’m gonna get those goals or die trying (or come pretty damn close, dying is pretty extreme if you ask me).
