^But do you think phil is ready to take the olympia? Serious question. Im all for phil winning someday because I believe he has a lot of potential but I don’t he is ready yet.
I also noticed in his video that he doesn’t get much of stretch in his chest and shoulders when doing compound movements like cutler and some others do. Wonder what the reason behind that is. Im guessing for safety reasons but I believe he is hindering his gains a lil bit because of that.
I don’t. His arms are just too damn big for the rest of his torso. Whoever that guy was that had heath coming in above kai is fucking nuts. His shoulders and arms are fucking epic, but unfortunately that overshadows his chest. I think if he is ever able to bring his chest up enough to balance out, he could become a wrecking ball on the olympia stage.
^Yea I agree 100%.
I think the problem is structural. He has that Lee Priest type of narrow chest, which seems to lend itself to arms of insane size, but I don’t think his chest will ever “look quite right” next to those ginourmous arms.

Of course. That’s why I said, “structural”. No amount of work can overcome structural disadvantages, although it can significantly reduce them. The dude is insane though, regardless.
Synthol FTW? jk but seriously there is something he should be able to do from now until he retires. He’s not old is he?
Monster pic of Priest jesus.
come on!!!1
any buzz, anything new…we’re less than a week away. Streaming you know where right. FlobbyTildingdotcom right?
Lonnie teper (spell?), that dill bag has it jay, kai, phil. palumbo has it kai, jay, phil. both agree that even a dead on phil cannot beat an on kai or on jay, i 100% agree based on phil’s flaws. i also agree that unless others are off branch will not be in the top 5.
i think if kai is dry he wins, even if jay the same as last yr. if jay is even better…we’ll see. if both jay and kai slip, phil can win.
i hope vic is great but condition and leg are if’s. dex will be bigger and good but not as crazy as jay or kai.
shake then shit then sleep peaccceeeee actually shit then shake then sleep. gotta go.
I can’t stand Lonnie Teper, I swear he has some mental illness.

yup, he’s a dick. Lonnie, how much does dexter weigh? Lonnie: dexter is 195lbs
Lonnie how bout Jay: 250lbs
Kai… 240lbs
Phil…220lbs
Lonnie, kai just got on the scale in front of you at Bev’s, it said 294lbs…lies, kai was holding a basket of grapefruit, he’s not a pound over 240.
the swammy, he should train more and talk less. i do like palumbo though, his keto diet i’m not sure of though.
After looking at several of Heath’s pictures on google, I think his posing is the only thing that really matters. He does have a narrow chest, but it is only really obvious in a few poses (like the one at the beginning of this thread). Any poser worth his salt should be able to hide weaknesses, and as long as he avoids certain poses, it should make him more of a podium competitor at the O.
Phil Heath looks small(er than the other competitors…or maybe the guy spotting him on the front squats in the video is just really big idk). Judges might hold size against him ![]()
My bold prediction. Roelly - 3.
Based on his trainer’s claim that he added 22.5lbs since the NY Pro (only 6 months ago). Insane amount of weight gain.

He looks like it. The last pic I saw made it look like he was eating whole cows for meals since the last time we saw him.
22 solid pounds at that size is no joke.

That would be an epic Olympia debut. I think it’s definitely possible, I’d like to see that.

Thats a HUGE improvement to his back.

He recently said in MD that his back was never a problem but that maybe he wasn’t posing right.
I tend to agree. I never looked at his back and saw it as a lagging body part…and it damn sure isn’t one now.
