Over the top Cutler love here. He came in great condition last year…but overall shape and aesthetics are nonexistent. You guys really think he has the ideal physique compared to everyone else on stage?

Question for everyone: If you could have the physique of any of them, who would it be? And is it different that who you think is going to win?
I wouldn’t say he had the perfect lines. But his symmetry is good, conditioning last year was phenomenal compared with years before, he’s massive etc. Its not that he’s ideal, but the fact that Cutler is Mr Olympia, has been 3 times, majority of the time it puts him in a pretty good light with the judges (and it seems, everyone else).
If everything comes in right I think Heath and Kai are the only two who have a chance at taking it. If the judges dont worry about his clavicle width, heath could take it, cos his vascularity and conditioning is insane. Whilst kai’s ability to show off his body in different ways, his back, and his overall size, could win it for him. Especially if he’s tapered his waist a little.
If those three are conditioned I have a feeling it’ll be “Kai, Cutler then Heath”.

Was going to say, keep it for another thread but the second part is cool. And for me, id rather be heath out of all of them, he just looks incredible. But i picked kai then cutler to beat him. Tho i think heath and kai will be going back and forth for the next few years after cutler retires.
Secondly, people saying cutler should and will retire, try again. From the way he talks, interviews, facebook etc, he seems content, hes young 37??, hes hungry and if he losers again, i think he’ll keep pushing, he’s just one of those guys.

Ideal? No, not even close. I just feel that from looking at past recent olympias, insane freak muscle is usually awarded more than shape and aesthetics. Thats why I think 1st place will be a battle between Kai and Jay.

I was curious how many people thought the BBing judges would pick what they thought was the best physique.
Everytime Jay has won he has looked better than everyone else.

his condition was great in 09’, relative to the sub-optimal condition he usually brings.
my guess is Dexter looks great at the O, but he is still too small relative to jay and kai. i’m not sure if jay can duplicate the condition of 09, even if he does it wasn’t insane condition. 09 was jay’s best O thus far though.
ideal build…victor marinez has probably got the best structure, he just never gets dry and hard enough, i doubt his leg will be 100% too, so as much as i’d like vic to shock us he’s likely fucked.
i think phil is amazing, best arms ever in BB. i just don’t like his overall look and don’t see him as mr. o.
yup, i swing from kai’s balls, i recognize that. i want him to win the O, i find his look the most commanding. that being said he needs to be big and nail down the conditioning to win, i hope he does.
i love branch in the gym, but he is an ugly fucker and has no place in the top 5 unless he brings his arms way up, and does something to fix the lack of detail in his lumpy ass back.
roelly is going to be great but his mid torso oblique area seems devoid of stuff popping off, if he can make his body match his arms he’s top three, and unlike heath he has the width to do so.

A lot of people expect the Mr. O to be a spectacle of bodybuilding perfection and awesomeness. I don’t necessarily disagree, but in the end you dont have to be great or even good, just better than everyone else on stage. Even if everyone came in off, they still have to crown a champion.

Victor and then Dexter a few pegs down have the IDEAL shape. All the rest have aesthetic problem areas.
Cutler doesnt have nice shape but his structure is great. Huge shoulder girdle into a strong taper and insane quad sweep. His torso is proportional to his lower half. The way he looked last year is a ‘complete physique’.
Kai’s shape and insertions make his physique very unappealing to me. I dont think his back looks good at all. His lat insertions cause them to completely overpower the rest of his back muscles. To me, that isnt appealing. I acknowledge that the amout of mass there is amazing but I dont appreciate the look of it. His legs look phenomenal from the side but from the front all he has is the lines in vastus lateralis. Biceps are short but peak very high
Heath is a complete mess when it comes to structure and balance. But hes young an has plenty of time to make changes to balance things out. He brought his back up nicely but his chest will always be an aesthetic liability because of his delts and arms.

If shape and structure were more important than flex wheeler would have 3+ O’s. Ray would have one etc.
If Victor could ever bring enough size with superb conditioning he’d blow away the field.

I just think it’s Jay’s comp to lose (this year), and that they will not make Kai the “ambassador of the sport” whether or not he deserves it. So as long as Jay doesn’t fuck up, he will when until someone Kai can play Levrone to comes along.
