Two year’s progress side-by-side. July 2006 to July 2008. First pic I weighed 158 pounds at about 10% bodyfat (started back in 2004 at about 25%). Second pic I weighed 193 at about 12%. That’s a gain of about 30 pounds of muscle. Yes, of course, I got fatter than that to gain the muscle and cut to lose the fat!
All I can say is … it’s damn hard work!! If I can do it, anyone can. All you need is determination and consistency.
Seriously. My genetics suck, I’m carb sensitive, sit at a desk 10 hours a day and I’m 44. But let me tell you, I’m much much stronger now than I have been ever before in my life. Plus, my wife thinks I am hotter, so there is that. Yeah, yeah, I took the clippers to my body hair, because my wife likes it.
I dont notice much difference sorry, maybe if you got a little cutter. Lol you shave your chest and stomach now. Anyways yeah 30lb is good gains for someone your age. Keep up the good work and get really cut in your next after picture so that ppl will notice a difference.
Its hard for anyone to notice muscle gains in someone else when the bf% increases as well. Your hard work will show alot more if you get ~7-8%.
I guess the pictures don’t really show the changes as well as I hoped! My measurements all increased (except waist), as did all my lifts by the 20+% in lean mass I gained.
