Have you been hitting the gym and eating soundly for several months at least already?
Of course you can bulk, but if you are already “not very lean” be wary of having it end up as an excuse for staying that way.
Well i have been eating clean prior to this (below my RMR) but the last month and a half i didnt i ate crappy and missed the gym. I wanna go for 2 months then in apr cut for the beach

You’re going to have to cut much sooner than April at 18% if you’re aiming for end of May. You’re also going to have to be consistent in the gym. Btw, eating below RMR is basically starving yourself. RMR is basically about how much you would burn a day if you did nothing but lie in bed (ie–what your tissues burn by themselves w/o activity of any kind or training of any kind.)
How long have you been training? How much cardio do you normally do?
i lift low weight high reps 10-15
i have been doing this for like 6 months. but like i said it would have been eight. i am just guessing on the BF
I am going to see what my bodyfat is, a So called trainer is going to use this machine its like calipers but its hooked up to a computer, I might just buy my own what do you think, i guess i could have my wife do it but i think the trainer even though i dont know how qaul she is would be better then having the esposa do it.

Given this information I’d suggest this: Clean up your diet, eat at least 5000 calories a day and find a GOOD weight routine and kill 2 birds with one stone. You will put on muscle, lose a little fat and look a ton better this summer.
I read those articles all the way through twice, I am pushing towards just following the 7 habits and doing that for 3-4 weeks and then increasing my calories according to my progress, But one question still lurks.
What Cals do I start at?
i problably get now 2000-2100 at the most i know that its bad because at one point i was dieting at 1800 cals a day and i dropped 20 lbs and my waist got smaller but it was a smaller version of my fatter self- on the other hand I had a 7 pack but with love handles you figure it out…
Sorry i kinda got off topic …it was tramatic…

Well, you’re doing the right thing by trying to get the 7 Habits hardwired into your brain. The key to success is not trying to do everything at once, but instead accomplishing a few things that you set out to do, and then adding a few more, and then a few more, and so on. Build block by block, not shotgun style.
However, you probably need to up the calories. I think maybe 5000/day is excessive. Here’s how you do it:
-
Grab a notebook
-
Write down everything you eat and drink for 3 days. Everything. Also write down the time you eat/drink. No exceptions. Don’t even try to change how much you eat. Just take a baseline reading.
-
Look at the calorie totals for each day.
-
Tell us what the calorie totals are.
We’ll add more gradually, but you gotta tell us what the baseline is. With certainty.
Will do.
cals fat carb prot
Totals 1818 39 256 120
This is my three day amount of course it varies from day to day give or take 15-20 cals…
i know its low so where should i start…or better yet what should I do
I am currently lifting heavy.
