Slain: You must belong to a pussy gym. When I did the lifts I did I never belonged to a gym. I lifted for football in the stadium weightroom. I think most of these kids that are very strong played football and hence lifted with the team not at (the health club). Regarding full squat no power federation requires them (duh!) As long as you hit parallel a powersquat counts but they do look at your hamstrings to clear you paralell. Few people can even do full squats do to their flexability. I could name a thoushand kids that have deadlifted over 400lbs at my high school in fact its the bottom level shirt to get! You cant picture your self squating that much what a waste of a trainee you are!
There may be some BS, but the poundages people site, while being more than the average bear can lift, are belivable. Each month Powerlifting USA humbles me when I read that I could not compete in the 150 lb. weight class (I weigh 210 @ 13.5%). Moreover, there are some sixteen year olds who can lift the poundages of adults.
These people are rare, but they do exist.
By the way, a 400 lb. deadlift is not very much - even by bodybuilding standards. I have a buddy who can pull ten clean reps at 405. Me, I’d pull one on a good day, but I’m only 23.
Cheers.
My best lifts are bench:240x7 5010, Full Squat: 500, Snatch Deadlifts on a Podium:405x7 5111, Power Clean:315x2. I know my bench sucks royally. I am having some success with the Five Percent Solution that Poliquin wrote about though.
Tapper i dont know what is up your ass, because i simply questioned how 16-17 year olds can lift something that i have never seen anyone do. Is it OK for me to be doubtful? At least a little??? The reason i (and many others) go to the gym is to get a great looking body. There is a guy that i know that has trained his butt of for 8 years and has got an awesome looking body, completely clean. This dude weighs 155 pounds and benches 275 max and squats 250 max. This guy is as commited to trainning as anyone, and here we have people that can lift twice as much as he can which have only trained for 2-3 years max. He’s been doing it for over 8 years and he is 23-24 years old.
And no, i cant ever imagine myself benching 400, wanna know why??? Because i train my ass off, eat protein by the truckloads and am still trying to bench 200. And yes there aren’t too many people that can bench 200 and it has nothing to do with being in a pussy gym.
I only said that i need to see a 16 year old benching 300 to believe it, no need to get your panties in a knot.
Dave D. Give the original “poster” credit for what he accomplished??? A 19 year old on juice posting those kind of totals??? I don’t have a problem with guys using steroids to give them that extra edge they need after years of training. But 19 years old and totaling 1000lbs. Nah, no credit given. As far as "19 year olds at 165lb’s squatting over 600??? Not a chance dude. That’s almost 4X BW. I am pretty sure there are less than 5 or 6 people IN THE WORLD that squat 4X BW.
Not that it matters, but the National Record for 18 and 19 year olds at 165lb’s is 573 set in 1992.
JRR, you got me. I didn’t read the original post to clearly. I missed seeing the original poster was juicing. Being 19 myself I agree that there is no need to take roids that young. And just over 1000 with roids at 215 pounds isn’t too great. The point I was trying to make is that even though guys might be bullshitting there lifts, others aren’t. And those guys that post are proud of what they have done so I was just trying to give everyone a pat on the back and saying nice work.
Anyways sorry I was 27 pounds off on the squat but the deads 617.25 for the teens at 165. And, when I turn 20 in three months I will be competing against guys in the junoir division who’s records are 622.75 on the squat and 661 on deadlift. So yeah guys at 165 are squatting over 600.
Don’t sweat it dude. I’m 37 and I make more than my share of mistakes. Good luck at the meet.
okay people, 148 lb clean lifters often squat well into the fives with supportive equipment. When I’m doing a 400 lb raw no belt break parallel squat, I’ll squat over five. It can be done. I was doing triple bodyweight squat breaking parallel in meets in college. I think the problem is that people don’t push enough. Learn how to squat in good form deep, then clean it up for a meet. I have done rock bottom squats, but in my experience they are easier than heavy, breaking parallel squats. The world changes when the weight on the bar climbs to 300, 400, 500, etc.Believe me your ass to the platform squats will not produce tthat effect.
Before peole start bitching, I’ve lifted over 20 years, and have 27 1/2 inch thighs. Even though I have very good flexibility. My rock bottom squat is only about two inches beloww my competition squat. Why? Hamstrings boys. It can be done, and done clean. You just need the right mentors and attitude.
At age 37 and being completely drug free I weigh 79kgs.
My best competition totals are: 308 bench (no shirt), 445 squat and 572 deadlift. Squat and deadlift were done with a borrowed suit which was too loose, my own belt and knee wraps.
Who needs drugs?!
so you guys dont believe me that i can parallel squat 500 pounds and
bench 315 and deadlift around 550? i am 215 pounds 12% bodyfat and would
never ever touch any sort of roids… i do take a ton of protein and
vitamins… for
16 years old i am a poor
man’s “genetic freak”. hah
O.k guys I’m a university football player up here in Canada, the strongest player on our team can bench press 250 pounds 25 times and I believe his leg press is 1650 lbs! He weighs 275lbs. The leg press was done to parallel. My stats were 225lbs 15 times (bench press) and leg press was 1100lbs. I’m 6’ and 225lbs.
Endocrine and Mental/Emotional Boosts.
Especially with hangovers.
Does anybody else get a 2 minute blast
that changes that space??
Good Work! I’m about 20 years older than you but our weight is the same. My best is; bench 365lbs, squat 485lbs, and deadlift 535. Keep training. If you would like some good periodization routines, e-mail me! [NOTE FROM MODERATOR: PERSONAL E-MAIL EXCHANGES AREN’T ALLOWED, BUT YOU MAY DISCUSS IT HERE, OF COURSE.]
I total 805 at 154.4lb (those electronic scales…), squat 250 bench 185 dead 370
Excellent work, Scott. Be careful with the drugs, though, man.
Bench: 405 Deadlift: 475 Squat: 500, 21 years old 215 lbs natural.
1 rep max? Don’t know, don’t care. What I do know is that I’m stronger than most people in my gym or any other gym for that matter. I’ll post my 1 rep max when I take up competitive powerlifting which will probably never happen.
Hey Scott, I would say nice work, but there is no need for the juice at 19. I’m 21, clean, and have seen no signs of slowing down yet. I weigh 190 lbs. and Bench 300, Squat 315 and Dead 315 my weights aren’t entirely impressive. But I play two rugby seasons a year and have on average 3 months to re-overcome my injuries in every off-season. And I quickly regain my old strength and then gain a little extra for each season. I have also only been deadlifting seriously for 2 months or so, and that number has gone up 50 lbs. already, same with squats, I have Ian King to thank for that. Anyway Tapper is right, if you want to see some kids lift “adult” weights, get your ass to a local high school. That means you Slaine. I mean be serious, Over the next month when you’re at the gym keep track of how long the squat rack is open, and the deadlift area, probably a lot, now check the bench area, Gyms are full of people looking for beach muscles, which is fine, at least their working out, but high school athletes are developing functional strength and their squatrack and deadlift area are not only gonna be full, but have a line of people waiting to build man strength.
Let’s hear it for the front row players!!!
Lets see, I can bench around 225, maybe squat 225, and dead lift 245…This means I am a weak pussy, but who cares? I just enjoy lifting. With a good cycle I could probably hit the 900 club in six weeks if not more. Of course I am only 5’9" and weigh 160, so I guess thats really not that bad for my size.
pat
Nick, for you or anyone else for that matter, to say that “there is no need for the juice at 19” you are correct. Of course, there is no NEED for ANYONE to use steroids right?? But for you to think that all 19 year olds (or younger) shouldn’t use steroids solely based on their age is completely crap. I realize there is no NEED for me to take gear. One reason I did it was to get some freakin libido. My natural T-levels were off the chart low. There were many reasons I decided to use gear but it’s none of your business. Give credit where credit is due. Learn to respect people of all ages and don’t generalize the young guys. We’re not all built the same. Good day sir.
