Nah, just pointing out this recurring pattern of behavior. I think it says something about the people’s personality, which I find a bit interesting. Not exactly sure what it says though.
Yes, there are some huge fuckers at my gym. One I have known for over 15 years and he weighs 320lbs at 6’3"…with abs showing (and please don’t pester me about his body fat percentage because at that size, it doesn’t matter).
???
on what planet does body fat percentage not matter??
if you’re not lean, you don’t look good. period. idc how much muscle you have, if you look like a bloated perma-bulker, you look gross.

Depends on the ferocity of the opinion to be fair.
Personally for me, it’s a scathing attack then moving onto the next topic.
Like has been mentioned though, I hadn’t heard of him prior to his death. Now I see grown men wanking themselves into a frenzy over some bodybuilding troll.
It is all about where you live. Gyms today are becoming coffee shops with cardio equipment. I would imagine most real gyms in Houston with significant weights stacks still get a decent amount of really built guys.
Agreed.
I have been in gyms where there are comfortably 15-20 guys AT LEAST with better physiques and that is no exaggeration.
It just depends where you train.
It is honestly sad that alot of people seem to just have no concept of these places/ don’t live near one.

The point regarding that topic is that those gyms are NOT the norm. Do they exist? Yeah but they are in no way the norm.
I mean look at this site. Presumably there are thousands of posters and how many of them that frequent the boards are better built than Zyzz? Less than 10 probably?
It is not common place to see 10+ guys better built than a professional physique model working out in the gym.
“at least 10” people at your gym evetyday that are better built than one of the most popular and successful physique models around?
The dude made a living based off of his physique alone… Ya there are at least 10 guys better built than that training in every gym every day lol
That’s why there are so many incredibly popular and successful physique models out there… Oh wait.
WTF?
At the gym I used to train at (A 24 Hour Fitness), Idrise Ward-El worked out there. It was also the place MANY competitive bodybuilders trained and where the WWF trained when they came into town. Evander Holyfield also trained there.
You sound a bit ridiculous claiming you know what the people at MY gym look like.
Even Whiteflash on this site can confirm this I’m sure and we can’t stand each other.

LOL.
He quoted this:
Where in this does it sound like “common place”?
Doesn’t that mean you are arguing for the sake of it?
And by saying “it depends on where you live” you are actually agreeing with me that it’s not a common occurrence. It’s definitely more of te exception than the rule.
Because apparently the two gyms in Texas that you guys work out at have all these better built guys that means its like that everywhere in the US/World?
Come on son. Same old Prof X.
Just let me continue a dialog with posters that are capable of civilized rational thought. Thanks.
?
Wow. I wrote this:
It’s been posted three times. What are you talking about? Where did I write that this is in most gyms?
Why would I care what MOST gyms are like? I train to get huge and stand out from most of the population…so yes, I would AVOID a gym with no other huge people in it.
That is what I have written from the start in this thread.

Not even remotely.
Please try to keep up. 10 guys at any given time in any commercial gym.
My point this whole time has been that this is not a true statement… WhiteFlash and I get along just fine, so what?
That’s what YOU wrote before. See the “at least 10 people” in quotes? That means a direct quote. Since I am the only one who wrote that, you were speaking to me.

Get a clue, little boy.

Was gonna say that since maybe you and I live in such a big city that maybe our point of reference is different, but Greg’s in San Diego (I think?) so it’s not like he’s holed up in some Podunk li’l burg. I train at the midtown 24, and there are at least 10 dudes at any given time that are better built. I’m not even talking about shear size, I mean guys that are 5’10-6’2-ish that probably weigh between 190-220, but are lean, muscular and look like they’re in phenomenal shape. This dude was in killer shape for sure, but it’s not like that’s hard to come by.

What are you talking about? White Flash is the one who started off with te “10+” people comment? I quoted it for you and you even re quoted it above^^ it’s even in Bold for emphasis.
Do you even know what you’re arguing?
Just stop quoting me please. You can’t seem to keep your posts straight or stay civil so I will continue my discussion with WF and Yolo.

Come on Greg, you seem like a reasonable guy. Why do you feed X all the time?

Ya I’m in San Diego. Don’t get me wrong, I see guys better built than that but 10+ everyday in every gym is not the norm IMO.
I’ve trained at two different 24’s who maybe had a couple, another locally owned gym that had 1 and I’m back at Golds now who has maybe 4-5?
Now I was at World Gym down here and there were more than 10 guys. There are quite a few pro’s who train there so, yeah, your statement would apply but as far as on average I’d say that it’s not true.
Again, if its so easy why aren’t there even 10 guys who post regularly here who look better? Lol

Man, I think this site (and maybe workout sites in general) draw in people that love to talk shop and enjoy lifting, but those that are truly dedicated to reach that upper level spend their time doing, not talking (or in this case, typing).
