How’s the training going?

Awesome! I completed a full week with John’s last week and the pumps were insane. You know the feeling you have when you put a shirt that is too tight? Thats how I felt on pretty much all bodyparts…

The way he has me doing things, I also feel the muscles contracting so much better. Hoping this can help me grow a bit more into the prep haha

Here is a pic of what I looked like before my refeed 2 days ago. Sry its a poor ass mirror pic

And here is a picture taken today, day after refeed, not same angle or whatever haha

I will be taking regular poses pictures this weekend and then will probsbly post some new set of pics every other week or something like that along with some random cellphone pics from time to time

Im seeing new veins popping out every day… this is fun

Looking real awesome. Updates are much appreciated.

looking real nice already. Finished product will be amazing. Keep it up.

Thanks guys!

I had my best chest pump EVER today. Never had anything close to this. I wont write down the full workout but it was chest and shoulders

Doing a 1second stretch hold at the bottom of the rep and a 1sec squeeze at the top of the rep changes everything, I realized…

So far im REALLY enjoying the workouts John’s been giving me. They are brutal… and this is only the “low volume” phase haha

On another note, Skip said we might be upping my cals when I get back “on” to allow for more growth… im currently leaning down still and im at about 2800cals/day

Quick chest pump pic haha. First chest vein I see on myself, ever.

Probably not, but can you give an idea as to what you mean? Are they really drastically different from his articles and posts elsewhere?

I am potentially interested in hiring JM towards the end of this year (not for a show) but find it difficult to know what you are really receiving.

Appreciate you pay for his services, I just want a way to know if it will be “worth” it for me/ i would find it useful.

thanks, and looking good, do you have any leg pics?

Fantastic man. Have you done the show or is it soon? I had a blast at my first show. You will do awesome…great build.

I did what was in his article for 8weeks and I feel like even though its a good workout it does not compare at all to what you get when working with him

For one you will get different workouts every week. This makes it so much fun IMO… never doing the same thing. Strenght progression isnt the main mean of progression. John didnt tell me this directly but there is obviously a lot of focus put on getting the muscles as pumped as possible…

The exercises he has me doing are always really really detailed so you know exactly how you must execute them. Its not just : “DB PRESS 4 x 10”… To give you an idea 4 workouts (1week) takes between 3-4 word pages in something like arial 10… everything is so detailed

This is the only “recent” leg pic I have and the angle suck… it was after my first leg session last week and I couldnt even contract the quad cause it was so pumped… (lol)

great pic, and thanks for the info.

the feedback on JM and Shelby is ALWAYS so good I feel I have to try them out soon.

Looking Insane for 17 weeks out haha I can definitely see you growing into this show! You seriously have a dream team combo of coaches and with your work ethic, things will come together very nicely. Keep us updated on any changes, thoughts, feelings etc and keep killing it!

SO! This is where I consider the “real” start of my prep to be. All these pics are 17weeks out and this is where I start blasting. I’m in week 2 of John’s program and by week 4 we will be upping the volume and the inensity!

I hope this will be a fun run and hope I can keep everyone interested! As I said before, feel free to chime in, ask questions, give recommendations.

My main concern is coming in as shredded as I can and bring up my hamstrings. Since i’m entering a novice only competition, I’d need to win the overall to qualify for the provincials (equivalent of regionals for you guys I think) so coming in dryer than everyone else will be a “must” if I want to have a chance

Front dbl biceps. This will be a good pose for me I think once I manage to bring my left arm a bit higher… haha

Front lats

Most muscular

I dont think my back looks good on this pic. I didnt lean back and “sit” on the pose enough (not sure that makes sense)

I like the way my triceps look though

Uh oh. I have a big problem with the side poses. Obviously hamstrings arent a good bodypart for me. Now this is my problem. If I sit on my ham I cant turn the torso much if I want them to be somewhat visible… but my side poses look so much better if I turn my torso but then it seems by leg also turns the opposite side too much and then I look like im hamstringless
