IM GETTING MY BIGGEST REFEED/SKIPLOAD EVER TOMORROW… decided to film what I’d eat…!!
That is awesome. Does is ever become a chore getting in all your necessary carbs on a skipload or do you enjoy everything?
That sounded like an Antoine V voice over bro. Good luck eating all that bro lol
If you can share, what are you macros like for the final couple of days? I’ve heard of people eating 400-800g of carbs for 3 days in a row, but I’ve never heard of ANYTHING even close to 3000g in a day. Was that a mistake?
Have been following this thread along for a while an gotta say it’s soo inspiring seeing the progress you’ve made an the hard work being put in so I wish u all the best with the show!
Pretty jealous of that skipload right there lol. I know the objective is to get in as many carbs as possible which would be a lot harder using “whole foods” but besides that would you say it would be good to use foods like rice an oats for someone not preparing for a show but keeping the same kind of set up, set time and lots of carbs? Or will you still use the same approach all the way through the off season? Just thinking perhaps carbs from rice would keep the muscles full for longer but not give such a rush/pump?

That cracked me up! You sound so serious talking at length about junk food!
It’s almost like listening to Einstein give a serious lecture on clowns.

The goal when skiploading is to eat until you feel very full but dont feel nauseous or something… I’d say overall its enjoyable but there are some points where the food doesnt taste as good as it should haha

Nop, no mistake… Im about 6-8lbs lighter than I can be right now, i’d say
The macros for the final days… i dont even know them yet as they will be adjusted accordingly, I think

I dont think skiploading is very effective during offseason to be honest… I did it and the thing is you usually skipload to refill glycogen store and to boost your metabolism… but when eating in a caloric surplus, you dont need a metabolic boost and/or glycogen to be replenished… IMO
When dieting well if you use rice and oats you will not get nearly as many grams of carbs… so wont work as well
wooo only 4 days now!

So basically a carb is a carb and getting them from what most people would consider higher quality sources won’t help keep the muscles fuller for longer as its a “slower release” or any of that right?
By the way, ill be going in as a light heavy, most likely. This is 188-198 class. I really dont give a shit about my weight thoughand if i look my best at the bottom of the light heavies so be it!
My plan is to be the rippest most shredded motherfucker up there!!
Was 188.4 this morning pre load… guessing ill be 195 tomorrow lol

Right
Carbs just pull water in the muscle and glycogen and stuff
Are you sure you don’t mean 3000 calories from carbs (which would be 750g), lol? 3000g of carbs is 12,000 calories, brah

That takes nothing away from the fact that eating 3000g of carbs in a day is madness. Taking into consideration the other macros that will be present in those foods, you’ll end up eating like 14,000 cals. Not doubting you or Skip, just trying to comprehend how that much could be beneficial based on what I’ve read about glycogen supercompensation. Hypothetically speaking, if you had 200lbs of LBM, 1400g would be like the max intake I’d expect to see over 24hrs and you’re doing more than double that so my mind = blown.
Very intredasted to see the result of this.
I’ve been following for ages (or so it seems), but wanted to chime in finally before the big event.
First, as a type 1 diabetic, watching your skipload video almost put me into a diabetic coma. I mean holy cow! That is a lot of pain you are inflicting on your pancreas, but at least it is for a good cause.
Second, why apologize for your French Canadian accent? Referring to point one, maybe you are apologizing because you have drifted so far away from the lovely cuisine your peeps have which you apparently lost ![]()
Ok, last comment. You bloody rock sir. Seeing you improve over months, your dedication and good cheer, well, it is quit inspiring. Seriously. My hat (I don’t actually wear one, but humour me) is off to you, sir!
