Zraw's First BBing Show

you look ALOT better in these pics imo, starting to really come together

do you get many comments from people at work, everyday life etc as time goes on and you keep looking noticeably better?

yo man, i was re reading this thread and while im still a posing newbie i was thinking you could try leaning back into rear poses a bit more… you said you need your lats to pop a bit more on rear lat spread. try bending waaaay back which should give the illusion of less waist and more lats. I can tell you are sort of doing this already, buy you could try leaning back even further. no one complained about my rear poses and i lean back quite a lot. I dunno man, give a try and let me know what you think.
in his DVD, Skip complains about people “sticking their dick in the curtain” when doing rear lat spread - at least in the seminar portion (its been over a year since i watched the posing chapter)

its worth trying it as it’ll only take a minute, but i personally find my rear lat spread looks better when i arch my back and stick my arse out towards the camera more… i’m not sure if you’re suggesting to do the opposite but i personally find it pretty hard to lean back a lot when doing it that way, so im kind of assuming you are
didnt tell him to put the dick in the curtian…you have to arch your lower back and lean your upperbody way back.

Zraw…i think the rear lat looks a lot better like that, dunno why more ppl dont do it like that. your condition is looking great btw

The thing I need to work on the most now is my lower body posing when hitting rear shots… My hams look soft as hell because i DO NOT flex them…!!

I do! Esp at the gym… People are now asking me quite often if I compete

When I work I try to stay somewhat covered up so it doesnt show that much

Im now pretty comfortable and confident when I hit my poses, I think it shows

Looking great Zraw. I like the smile, it definitely shows confidence/relaxation with the poses.

A few suggestions:

Side Tricep - looks like you could “mash” the triceps a bit more against your lats.

Side Relaxed - keep the chest high/stay tall, it appears you are scrunching down a tad

Rear Lat - I can’t tell if you are pulling the legs together or not, if you pull the legs together hard, it really helps flex the hamstrings.

Keep up the awesome work.

Looking good man. to add to what timm said for the side relaxed, i think you need to pull your front shoulder back towards the rear to open up more, almost the same way you would in your side chest pose. Posing does look 100x better.

if the competition was for the cutest guy you’d definitely win obvi

I agree on on all points but for the legs im confused ive been told to push out to make the quads look wider?..

BUT I havent been flexing my hams on any rear pics whatsoever so ill try a few different things next week. From webcam and mirror it looked good when I focused on flexing it all lol

Agreed I actually tried it in the mirror after you wrote this and it makes my chest look way better! I was doing it on the left side facing front but not the other side (and it shows my pec looks shit)

Pushing out the quads naturally makes the quads look great, and should be done on the front facing poses like front double bicep, front lat, and some versions of most muscular.

However, for the rear facing poses, you want to make your hamstrings look awesome, they way to get them to really “pop” and flex hard is by doing the opposite motion that you used for the quads, in this case, pulling your legs together.

To still make your leg look wide while pulling them together, make sure you have your toes pointed outward.

Good luck.

Makes sense! I tried this a lot this week! Hoping I can get this right for pictures saturday

Looking great.

How “tough” (mentally and/or physically draining) would you say has your prep been so far? Perhaps give it a rating of “perceived toughness”.

I’m curious how riding a bicycle sensibly changes the toughness of a prep, given everything else is (more or less) kept the same. While I haven’t done a prep for a BB competition, I have done one 4+ months progressive cutting phase with Shelby that got pretty rough towards the end.

Cheers.

I am sure you will. These contest prep threads tend to be immensely helpful from my observation and personal experience. It is neat to watch people progress in their fat loss and posing along the way.

Why havent I been in this lol
