Zombie Apocalypse Preparation Log

Another pic of that damn hill.

Today I challenge myself to 10 trips, shouldn’t have, I might actually toss my cookies but I got 10.

Damn hill? What damn hill? You mean that gentle rise in the background?

Unless I’m completely misreading the image, we have steeper speed bumps where I live.

Shoulders and such

Military press
barx10
65x5
85x3

working
110x5
135x3
150x3

Z press
95 5x10

Super sets
hanging leg raise 3x15
tri pushdowns 3x15
face pulls 3x15

Nothing special, just another average day.

Come on down and run it a few times.

This is the hill behind my apartment. Don’t know how it compares to yours, but it’s enough to make me cough lungs onto the pavement.

Yeah thats what he said

Sorry, the picture just doesn’t look like how I envision a steep climb. From what Dday was describing, I was thinking of something that looked like this:

Solid work as always. Love the new avatar you’ve got.

Good lifting. And I like the new avatar too.

Thanks Cav.

Got my Iron Master Kettlebell on Friday evening and finally played around with it tonight. So far very satisfied with my purchase. They’re solid and well built, there really isn’t much to it. The base handle is 22.5lbs, it came with an additional 22.5 solid weight, 2 2.5lb plates and 6 5lbers for a total of 80lbs. For the money ($250 shipped) I don’t think it can be beat since just one 55lb kettlebell runs around $100.

I made up a quick session done with 45lbs

two handed swings
figure 8’s through the legs
one handed snatch

20reps each 3 times through with one minute rest between sets.

played around with some other exercises and movements.

At the end of the day, it was pretty tough wasn’t crazy but a good start and I enjoyed it. Look to hit some for program like this 3 days a week depending.

Sunday- Kettlebells
Monday- Leg day
Tuesday-Shoulders/hill sprints
Wednesday- Kettlebells
Thursday- Back
Friday- Kettlebells/hill sprints
Saturday- rest

Leg day

Squats
135x5
185x5

working
225x5
250x5
290x6

BBB Squat
155x10
165 4x10

Hanging leg raise
2x15

Was totally spent, gave what I had. Tired and sore now.

Wife update: She had a PET scan last Thursday and got some results today. She is showing some amazing progress, with exception of the cancer in her bones the rest is almost gone. They are starting her on another drug soon specifically for the bone portion. She wasn’t scheduled to meet the Dr until like Thursday but her results were so good the Dr called her today with the good news.
