Your Training Goals for 2018

Thats rough man. You getting withdrawal symptoms?

I posted these in my training log so I’ll post them here too.

  • OH Press: 200
  • Deadlift: 435
  • Bench: 275
  • Squat: 355

These were goals I wanted to achieve by the end of 2018.

That OHP goal appears to be rather aggressive/optimistic and will probably take the longest to achieve.

At 46 (47 in April) I will echo the others who have said, ā€œstay healthyā€

Most importantly, I want to continue to learn about my body’s adaptations to training and nutrition

A pound is a lot of size on a little gun. One pound each per gun. Shift 3/4 lb from quads to traps and the transformation is complete. Shape. Shifter. Simple!

I want to look like @flipcollar at my height of 6’ 5".

Anyone know how to get in touch with Bruce Banner?

Last year was 6 pack abs at 190lbs bodyweight. This year, I’m changing it up and going for 190 pack abs at 6lbs bodyweight.

Squat - 550
Bench - 375
Deadlift - 650
OHP - 225 (wishful thinking)

I’d like to set a cardio goal but am unaware how to do that especially because my goal with cardio should just be to actually do it consistently. Baby steps

Walk a mile with a bodyweight or more yoke on your back

Now when you say ā€œwalkā€ what kind of pace are we talking about here

Slower than this is fine, although most likely impossible.

Do your neighbors ever ask/say anything to you? They must be like wtf is this guy doing haha

Perfect. Really hope I get that yoke bar for Christmas that I just decided I wanted and nobody knows about

Some will bring it up, or if I meet them at a get together they’ll be like ā€œYou’re the guy that’s always lifting stuff in the street!ā€ but for the most part they just ask me to help them move.

Life is better with a yoke in your life. Pick the right one and:

You can walk it on your back, over your head or zercher style
You can push and drag it
You can pull it with a rope
You can lift heavy things over it
You can bench, squat and press from it
You can pull up on it or use it as a hurdle
You squat, bench, press or ā€œrack pullā€ the yoke itself

You can even bring it to parties as a limbo bar.

That could be a goal right there. Make it about the consistency. Some shit like ā€œdo 2 HIIT sessions and 2 ā€œeasyā€ conditioning sessions every week for 3 months straight.ā€ For example

have you ever seen Patrick Castelli with a yoke? I’m assuming you know who he is.

For the rest of the people reading this: Castelli is a LW strongman. Competes in like 175 and 181 weight classes. He can haul ass with an 800 yoke on his back. It’s ridiculous how good he is.

Also, this is how fast I move with 600 on my back. I hate yoke.

Whenever I think I might be maybe a little sorta kinda strong, I’ll watch the top 175ers and realize I’m garbage. Just insane the guys that are out there.

Just looked this fella up, holy shit. The first yoke video on his instagram looks sped up until you see the guy in the background moving normally.

When God made Pat, he was clearly using cheat codes.

Feel like I’m playing on a laggy server
