When I was getting ready to play JUCO basketball I incorporated a basketball drill sprinting 50 feet back and forth 16 times in one minute. Right before I did the sprints though, I would do an 8 rep deadlift, I did three sets of this. I did this for two weeks, and the weight I was using for my 8 rep deadlift went from 325 to 215. I went from being able to dunk with no problem to being able to fly with no problem. My thighs would burn so much all I could do is just have a seat on the grass and shake my legs around until it was over, and my hamstrings would hang off my legs.
I’m not even trying to start anything, but some of these exercises you all are super setting are just plain retarded. So retarded all I can do is shake my head
Your gonna have to elaborate there my friend? I agree that yeah, some of them I wouldn’t bother with but supersetting & drop setting compound movements packs on muscle, and the majority of these posts have big lifts/compounds in 'em
nautilus leg press to failure.nautilus leg extension to failure.Get out of machine, stumble under squat rack,15/20 reps.Collapse on floor.on returning to an upright position, wander around the gym, waiting for the pain to subside.Go home.sleep for three hours.GROW.
Somebody likes Arthur Jones haha. The way Dr. Darden would write about Viator or Sergio trying to go through that workout always got me pretty fired up, can’t say I would ever try it though.
Looking back to this thread, I realize…
Men are stupid.
Why are we doing this?
We know soreness, pain and masochism is not rewarded with mass or strength gain. I hope it is because we aim to grow mentally from it, despite the agony. Well, the alternative would be that we are just plain stupid.

I’m assuming you meant from 215 to 325.
Nope. From 325 to 215. This is while I’m doing the complexes. Not really sure why that happened physiologically. But it absolutely increased my explosive power significantly.
