Maybe my problem is I don’t advertise that characteristic enough.

Well I guess I am not crazy.
I’m independent, non-clingy, non-bitchy, non-jealous. I work full time, take care of my own kid (full custody), and I’m going to nursing school - paying my own way. I don’t have time to think about crazy. When I get into a relationship I do way too much to take care of the other person.

So yeah, i’m pretty much fucked if I want an alpha i guess

You have the thighs of thunder and the power of the lesbomancy.

Thats enough to broker a solid deal.

Are guys addicted to the rollercoaster ride these type of women provide? Does the passion of the extreme highs make you feel on top of the world and the extreme lows make you want to fight to stay together and get the highs back, leaving you blind to the character flaws that will never change? I see this all the time, good guys I might like to date can’t seem to let go of these crazy women who don’t have their lives together and aren’t all that great looking IMO.

Then I look back at me and wonder WTF i’m doing so wrong.
Roller coaster’s go up roller coasters go down. The rides that don’t do that are at the 5 and under parks.

Well…

Crazy women raise hell in the sack?

I wish there was a more sophisticated reason and emotionally there kind of is the first time around but Beth, they fuck like Demons.

I kid you not.
Beth I NEVER thought I’d find myself saying this, but Orion is right. I’ve even heard it postulated as such:

Crazy women KNOW they are crazy, and have to be crazy in the sack to make up for it.

Also, it’s basic behavioral psychology-as long as those high times come frequently enough the guy will be hooked. Once that frequency drops below a certain threshold the guy usually gets out.

That my kid is what keeps me from ending up with an Alpha Male.

I disagree. If you are a quality woman(which I believe you are) then one will come along regardless.

I wonder if walkaway considers himself an Alpha Male

it would make him the only one.

As much as I think Walkaway is a cowardly douche, I do think he’s right - at least in my experience. But then again as I look back, most of the guys who i considered alphas were simply assholes and low class material anyway.
I’ve had betas who embraced the whole kid thing, i just couldn’t deal with their lack of back bone, me having to be the strong one and leading the relationship. I want the man to be the man for chrissakes.

Women do really have to watch out for men that they think are Alpha’s because they act like overbearing assholes when in reality they are actually beta’s using that to cover their own insecurities.

You’ll find your man Beth. I got faith in you. As far as the kid thing goes, if your kid is a deal breaker for a man then he probably wasn’t very much of a man(def not an Alpha) to begin with. Which on the flip side of that, a really beta man may actually try to forge a relationship with your good in hopes of keeping you around because its really the only card he has. You just need to find someone who loves you for you and loves your kid because they are an extension of you. My .02 anyway

im sorry that reality and your feelings conflict… im a straight shooter, and that’s not going to change in order to make you feel better

what is with all this talk of “alpha” vs “beta” recently? I don’t concern myself with such things… so to answer your question, no. I do not

Honestly those type of women give me a headache just thinking about dating them. Life is stressful enough no need for a relationship to add that much up and down emotion
