Wrist Wraps

I just picked up some wrist wraps today and I’m thinking about using them in my 12 week Chest & Back program. I do want to strenghten my wrists so I only want to use them sparingly, during my peaking parts of the program. I have two thoughts of the ways I could use them. The first way is: 1st week of every phase: No wraps. 2nd week of every phase: Loose 3" wraps. 3rd week of every phase: Tight 3" wraps. The second possible way is: 1st phase: No wraps. 2nd phase: Loose 3" wraps. 3rd phase: No wraps. 4th phase: Tight 3" wraps. Any suggestions on how I should implement the wrist wraps?? Should I use longer wraps, maybe 6" instead of 3"?? Also, should I consider elbow wraps despite never having any elbow problems?? Thanks.
