Got a one hour massage just a bit ago. It actually helped a lot more than I expected. Gonna go to the chiro tomorrow or Thursday. Also maybe a PT at some point soon. Also a real doctor lol. Also maybe acupuncture. Also maybe electroshock therapy. Also maybe weird voodoo shit. Any other suggestions?[/quote]
You left out numerology and biofeedback fields. Personally, I’m in the school of thought of taking a sledgehammer to the bitch.

I thought his back is still all kinds of fucked up from old/recent injuries?

looks like it felt awful
You know as well as I do (I’m an example of this), that you can recover from all this crap. Just be persistent and try new things like walking. Walking seemed to help me when I pinched my sciatic nerve. Don’t become effete over this, it ain’t nothin.
Louie simmons broke his back twice (amongst other stuff)… I think you will be fine, Csulli. ![]()

Bench:
45 10x
135 10x
185 5x
225 5x
255 3x
280 3x Everything had to be feet up out of necessity. Even the slight arch implicit in having my feet down was too painful.
Close Grip Bench:
225 5x
225 5x
225 5x
225 5x
225 5x All reps of all 5 sets were paused in addition to feet up. Felt quite easy, which is fine.
Incline:
185 5x
185 5x

185 5x
185 5x Nice and easy… Sticking to my guns.

Still can’t walk right yet though.

No doubt! I’m not really worried about recovering from this. I’m not afraid to admit though that I am very worried about how this happened.
If I used my shitty deadlift form and pulled 600lbs and fucked up my back that’s one thing. Fine. But I cannot get put out of commission for two weeks at a time just from fucking getting up out of my chair. That is unacceptable, and the fact that I was so badly debilitated in such an innocuous way is very troubling to me.
I feel like I never know when it may just randomly strike with no warning. I prefer my injuries to have logical stimulus so that I can at least understand and avoid them.

I see you’re trying to catch me. Good luck.
Your lower back problems sound similar to what I had for years.
I have scolosis (sp?) so my lower back musculature is mainly on the right, bad form deads, squats and good mornings caused a lot of muscle tearing to happen and scar tissue to build up on the right hand side only.
To this day it still feels like there are golf balls in lower back, it caused the right side to shorten a hell of a lot and constantly crush my sciatic nerve. Especially when stretching out my leg to walk or even just raise it straight or bend over.
Had to walk around with the foot pointed out similar to yours to relieve the tension, it’s now permanently stuck out.
I also eventually had a hernitated disc which caused more problems but I rehabbed the other problems by different stretching and shit, the one that did wonders for me was to sit on a bench and just learn to roll my hips back and forward to really lengthen out the lower back. I can tell you what else I did but you probably aren’t suffering from the same stuff I was so don’t wanna waste your time lol.
Good luck tho!

YES THIS! I figured this out like yesterday. I was thinking to myself “What exactly is stopping me from walking right?” So I psyched myself up (ever had to get psyched to walk? lol!) and attempted walking normally. The issue is that I can’t straighten my left leg. Try walking without straightening one of your legs. You will look silly haha.
Started stretching my hamstrings hardcore yesterday evening. I think it’s helping as well. Still can’t walk right, but it’s definitely not as bad as it was Monday. I’m gonna try deadlifts today.
Gym closed today due to the owner’s wedding lol. That’s the kind of thing you get with a smaller locally owned gym, but the badassery more than makes up for it. Way more pros than cons.
Anyway I guess this is fate’s way of keeping me from deadlifting, which is probably for the best. I can’t actually even get into the deadlift position and stand up with nothing even in my hands rofl, so w/e. I’ll probably just do some arms and a motherfuckton of pull-ups at home. Gotta be sure to use extra padding for my doorframe pull-up thing though. Last time I left massive indentations in the wooden doorframe which I had to repair with spackle and repaint. #fatty

Never.
And also of note, the hamstring stretching is rapidly regenerating my lower back. Soon it will be back to full power. And then I will show it the error of its ways. I will teach it a lesson it shall not soon forget.

Do to it what I am doing to my back, and abs. It shall never dream of getting injured again after the abominations you do to it as punishment. Also, have you ever done these? http://asp.elitefts.net/qa/default.asp?qid=52766 I tried them with bodyweight (just fucking around, not enough for a training effect/stress), and they feel awesome. I’m going to try them sometime on either DE, or ME day.
