And 60 minutes of bullshitting between sets lol. That’s how I get to those 3 hour sessions.

Wrist wraps bro. You have them in your avi.[/quote]
YOU DON’T GET US
even with krait wraps on I can’t bb curl, something with my ulna hurts when my wrists are supinated and extended to the side that much under heavy load. DBs are usually fine though

Yeah I know what you mean. Dude it must be bad though if EZ bar even hurts sometimes.

I’ve tried that. No help. Only pain.

Are you going to create your own peaking cycle or use something like that russian power?

Gonna go straight Russian Power. I’m assuming it works.

3/22/2013:

Deadlift:
135 5x
225 5x
315 5x
405 5x
455 5x

Snatch Grip Deadlift:
315 8x
315 8x
315 8x Anyone know how to do these without hitting yourself in the junk at lockout?

DB Rows:
100 15x
100 15x
100 15x

Pullups:
5 sets of 10

V-Bar Cable Rows:
3 sets of 20

Close Grip Floor Press:
45 10x
135 10x
185 5x
225 5x
275 5x
275 5x These were hard. I need to do more floor press. I have a lot of room to improve.
225 10x
135 20x
135 30x

One does not merely hit one’s self in thy junk. I occasionally hit myself slightly, I am not sure how I hit myself/not hit himself I think it has to do with the stance/line of pull. I never seem to hit myself if I use my close conventional stance which is hip width.

“if you’re going through hell, keep going”

a callous will form

Assess your hand placement. Ballshots aren’t concomitant with snatch grips. They are gruesome enough alone!

AHAHAHA

Pfft… I use the same damn hand placement as what I would use for a real snatch. I think that is as wide/narrow as it needs to be. Middle finger on the rings of one of those chrome barbells. (not a power bar though)

Holy shit “concomitant”. Nice lol.

Bowling Ball Shoulder Day:
3/24/2013

Seated Behind the Neck Press:
45 10x
95 10x
135 10x
135 10x
I bought into the whole “behind the neck presses are the devil” schtick for years, and even after I didn’t think that I never bothered doing them anyway. I was conservative with them, because they did start to hurt my shoulders pretty badly. At the same time though they felt amazing if that makes sense. Like they hurt because my shoulder mobility is utter shit, but I also felt some muscle in my shoulder that I have never felt before. Seriously they hit some part of my delt that felt like it had never been used in my entire life. I’m gonna do these every Saturday.

Seated DB Press:
50’s 10x
50’s 20x
50’s 25x

Lateral Raises:
20’s 10x
20’s 15x
20’s 20x

Face Pulls:
3 sets of 20

Barbell Curls:
45 10x
95 5x
135 5x
135 5x
135 5x

Preacher Curls on some machine:
3 sets of 10

DB Curls:
35’s 15x
25’s 15x
25’s 20x

Superset Rope Pushdowns with some other preacher curl machine:
36 Pushdowns
10 curls with a pause at the top
25 Pushdowns
10 curls with pauses
20 Pushdowns
10 curls with a one armed eccentric portion and a two armed resisted negative for as long as possible on the last rep

yeah i started off really light with btn’s and now they’re one of my favorite movements.

3/25/2013

Squat:
45 10x
135 5x
185 5x
225 5x
275 5x
315 3x
345 1x
385 3x This was actually really tough for me. Like very, very hard. Oh well, at least I did something. That’s still the heaviest triple I’ve ever done to actual depth on squat.

Leg Press:
5pps 10x
6pps 10x
6pps 10x
6pps 10x

Lunges:
Did 2 trips down and back across the gym with just an empty barbell on my back

Hyperextensions:
5 sets of 20

Pin Presses: Just because
Did these laying on the floor with the pins set as low as they would go in the rack.
135 2x
185 5x
225 5x
275 5x
315 3x
365 2x
405 2x Second rep was very tough.
435 failx This literally didn’t even move lol. Like it was nailed the fuck down. I’m a bit surprised actually, because my PR on this is 425, which was a while back, so I thought I’d be strong enough. What I think it was though was that second rep with 405. That just totally gassed me out.
405 1x Did another set at 405. The first rep flew up. Honestly I would say the level of ease was about equivalent to me deadlifting 315. So I was like “well I obviously have a second”. Nope. Didn’t even budge. This is a crazy exercise. It’s totally different from any other lift I’ve done in that you can smoke a rep, but be utterly spent instantly. Was a mindfuck.

Deadbench:
Had a bench set up in the rack with pins somewhere between 1 and 2 board height. Did a couple singles with 315. I actually sucked really bad at these I feel like. I’m considering doing these as an actual assistance lift. I mean the pin presses were just bullshit for the fun of it, but this exercise I feel like may actually help.

I actually am really happy with my squat today. I’m just in a foul mood about powerlifting in general. I see guys in the 198’s and shit squatting 600+ and I’m just like “wtf how?”. And like I said last time these motherfuckers have smaller upper bodies than me and they are paused benching like 385 or some bullshit. Pisses me off.

Lol yeah, rack lockouts are a special type of fun. It is like floor presses where you have to be fast to even get it started, but also requires you to grind. I like rack lockouts off the floor at the lowest (#1 pin which is about a half inch to an inch above floor press level) to #3 pin (each pin is about 2 or so inches I think) along with floor presses to build my mid-lockout area and give me the brute strength to grind at that point.

Good job sir Csulli. How much do you weigh and how tall are you?
