Workout Suggestions for Post Injury

After recovering for six weeks from a back injury, I am ready to start working out again. I’ve lost a noticeable amount of muscle mass, including body weight.
Other than using very light weights to start back, I’m not sure what type of program to follow. In many ways, I feel like a complete beginner.

I’m sort of at a loss here. Any ideas as to what is the most prudent training program to follow, would be appreciated. Thanks

Luckily, you have good authors like Mike Boyle, Eric Cressey, Mike Roberts, and Tony Gentilcore here with good articles. Check them out. Also Cassandra Forsythe put out a great article for back health…look that one up.

I personally can’t give too much advice without knowing your physical abilities and any kinetic fall backs. I can say this. I credit Stuart McGill and Gray Cook… find your indivdual strong posture and use it in just about everything you do in life. Look into 3D training and stretching to enhance body’s functional abilities. Definitely get a few consult sessions from a smart sports therapists or trainer. Read Stuart McGills books/ Watch Mike Boyle and Roberts videos… and goodluck
