I recently started a routine i found on this site. (Its titled do this routine and not that dumb one) or something like that
I follow it to a tee and im approaching my 3rd week. Since beginning this routine i feel smaller and my muscles dont feel as full. I take in 3000 cals a day. I start with 7-8 eggs egg white mixed and oatmeal. I eat chicken and potatoes or rice for lunch and steak and a vegetable for dinner with shakes in between. I sleep well at night and i dont have a physically demanding job
The weird thing is my weight hasnt fluctuated and i took measurements and im the biggest ive ever been
Could this be in my head? Should i continue this routine? My fear is that im overtraining
One thing i should add is that i usually smoke a little reefer after training its my reward for working all day and training hard
Maybe thats partly to blame? Idk what do u guys think
As someone with an engineering background, I say you should trust the measurements.
Also, you’re only in your second week. Give it some time before judging it. At the minimum, give it 6 weeks.
Sounds like you have the right idea. Give it time.
The reefer probably isn’t helping. If you’re not sure if it’s affecting you, try stopping for awhile and see if your progress changes. See what happens.
You also haven’t given the program a chance yet. Also, those ‘feelings’ about muscle fullness and size are just that: feelings. The program’s good, and if your diet is good too, you should progress over time. You’ve given it no time, so it’s too early to assess progress.
I’d also consider eating more calories. 3000 isn’t enough for me, and I’m close to your size (5’10 180).
Hope to hear positive things from you in a month or so!
sometimes a little bloat can make appear smaller while in fact you’re bigger. trust your measurement and also check progress on your strength. if you’re getting stronger its a sign of progress. cannibis increase estrogen production and can contribute to smoothness.
reefer is awesome.
Lift harder, trust the tape, eat more, keep smoking.
This is the funniest thing ive read all day
3rd week?!!! jesus bodybuilding christ these type of threads have to stop
Surprised no one mentionned this yet…
KingBeef’s program (the routine you are doing) is fairly high volume iirc.
My guess is that you do not eat enough carbs (from what you wrote) for such a high volume approach and thus are most likely glycogen depleted (at least to some extent).
This would be the reason for 1. you not gaining and 2. you having smaller measurements
Yall postin in a Troll Thread.
Cut out the reefer, that shit messes with hormonal output.

Ya, this.
More volume requires more food in general, but carbs are where it’s at for most people looking to gain.
smoking anything lowers the amount of test ur body makes…pot is nowhere near cigs but its still pretty bad

What you feel and think isn’t always consistent with reality (eg, not feeling bigger while being bigger).
A few joins a year isn’t gonna destroy your routine but if you’re serious, you might as well give it up!
We have no idea what your body can handle, if THAT specific routine is appropriate for you and your situation, or what your diet looks like in detail. We also can’t give you confidence or assurance.
