They were on sale this weekend, and I wanted one. However it’s gonna take like, 5 weeks to get here…
How much weight do you guys use on your sleds or prowlers? I only have 2 25lbers I use for complexes when I don’t want to drive to the gym.
2 45lb plates and 2 25lb plates is standard at my gym…unless u do prowler suicides than ur gonna wanna drop down to 2 45lb plates
Depends on the surface and your tolerance for pain. On concrete, 2 45s are more than enough. On grass or dirt, the prowler empty is insane. I’d imagine on sand, it’d be impossible.
I just bought one as well!! But I got the econo…I hope it holds up well. I doubt Elitefts would make it though if it didn’t.

Usually 2 45’s on asphault is plenty for me, I did get stupid once and put it on grass, with 2 45’s, 35’s and 25’s on it, I couldn’t get traction!
You’ll find it rediculous on grass, and the low bar on grass…fuck that noise!!

and here i was thinking grass would be easier. I guess I’ll have to get a few more weight plates though 
A dude on another site I frequent made one dirt cheap for me and I just collected it yesterday evening. I tried a few short sprints on grass, fuck that noise! Couldn’t keep my footing for shit and the thing just didn’t want to fucking move!
Still though, it was much easier on my drive, I’ll have to wait until I get it to my gym to wait and see what weight I can use. Will probably try it on the tarmac first.
Also, how much life do people generally get out of the ski’s…?

Do these tear up grass or artificial turf? I want one but don’t want to fuck anything up that doesn’t belong to me.
They don’t tear up grass too bad. It’ll put ‘wear lines’ in it, from where you push it, but it doesn’t tear it up, at least when I do it

that’s the worst part…the time you have to wait between buying it and actually getting it.

Thanks, I would have probably lost my mind had it not said it shipped by monday, then I would have called and got owned. Kind of off since I got the email notification and tracking number for the shirts I ordered the next day. So ASKLFJADSLKJFSDFKL I WANT MY PROWLER!!!

I’m actually quite impressed at the quality of the parts, its pretty damn solid, and those skis don’t look like they’d ever need to be replaced. However, what sort of sick sadistic son of a bitch uses a 19mm bolt, and a 19mm nut on it?

I’ve been using mine for a year now on pavement with clients, by myself, and with my wife, and the skis are nowhere near needing replaced. I can probably get 5 years out of them at this pace.
As for weight, on pavement I’ve used 90 lbs for 40 yd sprints, high handles going down and low handles coming back. My max was 20 sprints in 20 minutes.
I started out with 50# though and worked up. It’s going to make you want to die at first no matter what weight you use.
find a grassy hill, and push it up that fucker unloaded…it hurts!
