I’m so excited to hear this!
AND this! ![]()
It makes me sick hearing how much pain you’ve been going through. You are one tough chick though, so if anyone can bounce back quickly, of course it’s you!
Your body is insane girlfriend! ![]()

I’ve heard that too… that’s a great idea!
Thank you.
But I’m not going to lie… those injections hurt like hell but it’s totally worth the exchange. Apparently they can last up to 4 months so I’m going back in June for more.
I have adjusted my diet and supplements in order to keep inflammation down and losing a few pounds has helped.
What are they? Cortisone?
Triamcinolone… similar to cortisone
Long story short: my wife has an extra bone in her foot that was causing radiating pain up her leg. The two options were to remove the bone (hard pass) or stem cell injections around the bone to insulate it with a cartilage-like cushion to protect the surrounding area… We opted for the stem cell treatment.
We’re 2 weeks past her last injection and her foot is doing significantly better. Where this may apply to you, is that your situation might be a great candidate for a similar treatment. It might be worth asking about anyways, if you’re not interested in injections every couple of weeks indefinitely.
Either way, I’m glad you found out what the issue was and how to correct it.
I’m hoping that I’ll be able to get the inflammation under control and not have to rely on injections every 4 months… I’ll talk with my doctor again next month and discuss a long term plan. I’m just happy I finally figured out where the major issue is… I was getting so frustrated as I had tried everything imaginable without relief.
Stem cell treatment is a great option. Funny that you mention that, my husband also has extra bone on his left foot and the doctors suggested removal but said there’s a high chance of getting bone infection and could have to amputate his foot if that occurs so obviously he didn’t go that route, lol. He experienced a lot of pain for about 2 years and now he doesn’t have any issues except he has a big ass bump on his foot. He has really wide feet to begin with so it’s hard to find good shoes.
Hey ladies, I was watching Anabolic Doc for, umm, reasons…
Anyways I found this video discussing Testosterone for Women. My wife is on Testosterone (TRT doses) so I figured I’d give it a watch.
I think this topic has come up more than once in this thread, and I hope that if any of you have been considering TRT - this video could prove quite educational, if not useful.
As you know, I’m not the biggest CrossFit fan but one of my clients told me about a workout the other day so I had to try it. Mostly because I wanted to see what the recovery time is like!
Murph WOD
1 mile run
100 pull-ups
200 push ups
300 squats
1 mile run
** I skipped the weighted vest and did strict pull ups instead of kipping pull ups**

Has anyone else tried this?
I’ve been training female athletes for almost 2 decades and it’s a common misconception that carbs are the enemy. Once you have fallen into the trap of believing carbs are your enemy it can be difficult for your body to adapt to eating more carbs again. People often give up when trying to increase their carbs because they see the number on the scale go up and immediately think it’s fat gain so they reduce their carbs again. It’s a vicious cycle and I see it far too often.
Trust the process—your body will adapt!
Before anyone even mentions keto…. Yes, keto diets will make you lose fat and lose weight, however, most people who think they are in ketosis are not and/or they are trying something temporary instead of making a lifelong lifestyle change. Hire a professional if you are struggling with your nutrition, everyone is different and you need to find out what works for YOU!
The process can be a struggle and it can take a long time to figure out how/what/when you should be eating but I promise you can figure it out. Don’t fall back into old habits… you can do it.
I love when I find a colleague that shares the same opinion as me on almost every topic and she nailed it again, I couldn’t have said it better myself. This post by Allison Fahrenbach is too good not to share!
Back in my CF days I did this several times! Never with a weight vest and I can’t kip to save my life, so strict pull-ups but with a light band for assistance - so I’m a cheater. It is a grunt, no question!! Nice job getting it done!
As a registered dietitian who works with both fitness competitors and serious athletes - I COMPLETELY agree!!! All carbs are not terrible and also, they are delicious!! lol
