Very impressive!

I just discovered goob_u2 on Instagram and love that page! Finally someone is calling out the fitness “influencers” with photoshopped pics… I dislike false and deceiving advertising so I’m happy to see this.

Anyone else follow him?

Who are your favorite influencers?

I follow him now! Thanks for the heads up. That page is great!!

One of my faves is syattfitness. Lots of good info and it’s entertaining too!

Rez-V Update:

I’ve been taking the supplement for just over a month now and the most important thing is that I’ve been experiencing less back pain and my headaches aren’t as frequent and this was the reason I started it.

I didn’t change my diet or training, the only thing I added was the Rez-V

  • Fewer headaches
  • Less back pain
  • Lost 4lbs
  • Losing stubborn fat around the hernia scar (I’ve been holding fat there for 3 years since the surgery and it’s finally starting to go away!)

*I haven’t had my cholesterol levels checked but I’m curious to see if it’s lower

Supplement Rating 10/10 …. I’m ordering more!

Anyone else taking it???

@donnerschweer hopefully you found a good program! How’s training going?

I haven’t been, but I’m certainly interested now. Cardiovascular health markers (BP, HCT, cholesterol) are my primary concern with supplements.

Ohhhh right, the BP! I haven’t checked my blood pressure but I will do that now and let you know if there’s any significant change.

Apparently I need a supp to help with brain function because I can’t find my BP monitor anywhere :joy:

I went with a powerbuilding 4 days this time. I like the results still find it a bit long but it is very straigth forward. I never seem to be in the mood for some complex advance stuff

BP is 110/70… pretty average for me. It would be interesting to see if it helps someone with high blood pressure get down into range.

I hear you. I enjoy straight forward and basic programs as well… there’s nothing fancy schmancy ever going on over here!

Hope all of you ladies are doing well!

I thought I’d post an update about my own training…

The good news is that I started playing basketball again and my adductors haven’t been this sore in years because of all the lateral movement. It’s so much fun!

The bad news is that I dislocated my shoulder (AGAIN) two weeks ago so let’s just say I’ve been doing a lot of legs and training my left side in the gym. For me, the worst part about a shoulder injury is that I can’t do pull ups while it’s healing… and that’s my favorite exercise! :unamused:

How is everyone here doing? Any exciting news to share?

Yep!

On the lifting front, I did 10x10 deadlifts at 100kg on Monday

On the non lifting front, I turned in my grad school apps

Ouch! Do you have a condition?

One of my friends had loose joints and dislocated shoulders and knees every few months

That’s awesome!!! Great work :clap:t3::clap:t3::clap:t3:

I don’t have a condition but my lower body has always been overpowering and disproportionate to my upper body. It’s always been difficult to bring up my upper body without my lower body growing at the same time. However, when I have more muscle mass on my shoulders (and upper body in general) I don’t seem to have any issues with my shoulders. Holding mass on my upper body is extremely challenging and when I gain more mass my bw is so high that it negatively impacts my daily activities. I’m not as agile and athletic and feel very sluggish with a heavier bw…. I’ve been trying to find a good balance but it’s a continual struggle.

I have a weird body type but I make it work…. With a few setbacks here and there

Your reply wasn’t directed at me, but I just wanted to say that this line is fantastic. I think we could all use more of this attitude.

Right?! We all have imperfections and things we dislike about ourselves. We can either complain about them or embrace what makes us unique and run with it!

In 2010 I remember myself saying, “I can’t deadlift and I will never be able to deadlift because my body isn’t built for it.” Blah, blah, blah.

Fast forward to 2017 and I was deadlifting over 450lbs because I was determined to do it. The truth is that I’m not built for powerlifting but that didn’t mean I couldn’t try… I knew I’d never be the best in the world but that didn’t matter to me, I just wanted to be the best version of myself and continually progress.

I was also scared to go back and play basketball after being away from it for almost 20 years but I pushed past my fear and I’m so happy that I did.

Sometimes we all need a little nudge to step away from our comfort zone and push our bodies to new/unknown limits!

You’re inspiring me! I love basketball (I love sports), but haven’t played hard at anything in a long, long time.

Where do you notice your weight training throwing you off? Weirdly, upper body days always messed me up more than lower body - it threw my shot way off.
