No offense, but we’ve been through this. No one is expecting all people to have the same goals. I am talking about WHY so few ever move past “works out”. If this were not the BODYBUILDING FORUM, you would have more of a point. Regardless of how big you really want to be, if you are here, the goal should be to NOT be average looking…because that ain’t bodybuilding.
Oh i totally agree with your points.

I think there are a lot of people in life (and on this site) that talk a big game, but thats all it is… talk. I dont know why anyone would want to look/be “average.” Some people just dont have what it takes (mentally or physically)

My personal goals arent to get IFBB Pro Heavy weight size (i probably couldnt get that big even if I wanted to) but I definitely dont look average and dont plan on being average at anything.
I ask politely:

How can someone be good or excellent at everything? Most are good at a few things - if that - and that’s it.

If everyone looks the same, then there is no average. So you won’t look above average if everyone and their mother starts trying hard to get buff.

Average people are needed in this world. Who else is going to be cashier or ditch digger or butter bagels?
Your post makes ZERO sense. Hes not talking about anyone but himself. Im pretty sure he knows his own capabilities and potential. Who the hell are you to say that he cant be good at anything he puts his mind to?

No where did he say that EVERYONE has the ability to do EVERYTHING/ANYTHING.

Youre such a loser its not even funny. You hide it behind a shroud of “being realistic”. But youre simply a loser. I see it. Even the other losers you associate with see it. Your self defeating attitude is so cancerous to ambition and progress its amazing that you even socialize with other people. We get it, you personify the qualities of the ‘beta’ personality type. Its good that youve found a way to rationalize your boring existence by telling yourself that its normal to be average at everything.

But please, for the love God, shut. the. fuck. up.
Just forgot to add that I’m actually above average in several things I’ve taken up.

I also forgot to give thanks to you. I mean, after all, I’ve only repeatedly COMPLIMENTED and stated RESPECT for you in several threads.

That was cool dude. Thanks.
Dude. I dont think youre a bad person.

But enough is enough with all the bullshit about mediocrity. Mediocrity is a disease.

You play the ‘whats wrong with being average’ card as much as PX plays the race card. EVERYONE reading is thinking EXACTLY what I wrote. Just let it go. Its unbelievably irritating.
LOL. This because I said they don’t respond the same because you’re white?

Dude, honestly. That’s not “playing the race cars”. It is “noticing that people act fucking strange when I say something but not so strange if you write the same thing”.

Hey, we can test it further if you like. Winner has to buy the other a steak.
I have no desire to explain why you get the reactions you do. But since this class on legislation and regulation is putting me to sleep, why not.

You and I have VERY different posting styles.

You get shit because youre the biggest guy in the room and by far the most visible (e.g. this thread). Youre also arrogant as fuck. You have never once admitted youve been wrong, about anything (and you have been wrong quite a few times). Youre a smart guy so when you ruin conversations by twisting words it’s obviously done intentionally, rather than ignorantly. Whether or not your words make valid points is irrelevant when you sound like a dickhead saying them. The amount of times you inject yourself into conversations tht have nothing to do with you is absurd, even by internet standards. Your posts consistently sound like you are preaching to those barely worthy of hearing your words. And the best part about that is that you argue that people are WRONG for making that exact critique. Its the same thing over and over.

And then theres the black part. Probably has some truth to it, I dont know, I wouldnt know racism if it slapped me in the face with a jar of mayonnaise. But if you think racism is more influential than what I wrote above, well, yeah. I dont know what to say then. But its pretty obvious to everyone how you want to answer that, even though you cant/wont answer it that way at this point.

Hes playing NBA basketball for one of the best teams in the league… 6 months after acl surgery. SIX MONTHS. Thats 1/3 the expected time it takes to get back on the field/court for amateur atheletes.

Wow - that hits every point right on the head. Sorry man, but all that is 100% true. Maybe if just one time you spoke to me in a cordial manner instead of calling me doofus and shit, I’d be inclined to disagree with this, but that is as succinct and spot on as it’s ever going to get.

Of course, you’ll deny all that and remind me I’m a shitty bodybuilder and a moron to boot, but it won’t make it any less true…

X is practically trolling you guys. He’s stated numerous times over the years that he knows why he gets the reactions he gets and chooses his words specifically to get those reactions. I respect the guy, but this “why am I the only one to get these reactions” crap is just another ploy to have us all talking about him and it’s working.

Edit - that being said, many, many lifters have said he has helped them more than any other on this site so he’s doing something right.

That’s what happens when you’re a professional athlete and have access to the best surgeons, best physical therapists, best training facilities and staffs.

So ah… I’m just sitting at work waiting for my staff to finish so I can leave and actually get home before midnight and hit the gymski.

Mindless post so this whole page isn’t about X.

I have feelings too you fuckers.

I understand what you’re saying, and I’m not here to PROMOTE mediocrity. I was talking more along the lines of “letting people live” with whatever their desires or paths are.

I wasn’t insulted per se by your post, more like a bit bummed; I mean literally this past Saturday I said to someone from this board, speaking in REAL LIFE because we hung out this past weekend, “Yeah, I like Bones on TN; he’s a good guy, very fair, and he knows his stuff.” One time my bro even noticed your avatar on here and said, “Yo, who’s that guy with the crossed, jacked arms in his pic?” I replied, “Oh, Bonez. Yeah, his posts are good.”

So I was kinda surprised when you posted so harshly.

I see your point, and I apologize. Some people liked my posts, some didn’t.

Stop the lies. Accountants have no souls or feelings, only ten keys. Now get back to work, 1099s and W-2s are due in short order, and 3/15 is fast approaching.
Professor X wrote:

How many people here have ever gotten a response like, “what the fuck have you been eating?”…from someone who was big and not sedentary?
Was at an annual company meeting in Atlanta yesterday. I’m something like 30-40 lbs bigger than the last time most colleagues (and my boss) saw me. A couple colleagues hit the iron (not huge), but you know they work out when you see them.

Got a bunch of "Holy Shit"s and “What the fuck have you been eating”. I tell people I eat something between 3500-4000 cals (a little less lately) and they don’t really fathom what that means. They don’t “get” force feeding.

So, we go to “The Manchester Arms” English Pub in Atlanta and I get the 24 oz porkchop. This thing looks like the “rack of ribs” tray that tips over Fred Flintstones car.

Many thought I wouldn’t finish it.

I dispatched it thusly. I was still hungry (was behind on food after traveling all day).

“Pushing harder” can’t only occur in the gym. It has to occur in the kitchen (or wherever you eat) as well.

That’s why I waited over 3 months to find a surgeon who works on pro athletes. I got the surgeon part right. It’s the other stuff that makes a huge difference. I was never aware of the drug aspect of it. That’s interesting.
