Who Is Captain America?

…Chris Evans.

Way to fuck up that movie.

Fuck you too Hollywood. I would rather see that movie from Bollywood.

The real Captain America.

LOL, I was just reading an article on Yahoo that stated there was nothing but positive responses to the announcement. I was like what?!? Really?? They better get that dude a trainer, a gym membership and a couple cows. I’m going to start refering to this movie as “captain cupcake”.

What is with all the non-manly men getting super hero roles?? I can live with the tiny Bruce Banners, and the nerdy Peter Parkers because that is what the charater is. But Capt. America is a man, and a old school salty WWII ass kicking, red white and blue bleeding bad ass… This guy is johnny f’ing metro…

Better than having the guy from The Office.

While I do like Chris Evans and thought he was easily the best part about the Fantastic Four movies, and while I do think he is the best choice out of all the actors they were considering for the role(Mike Vogel, John Kr…Jim Halpert, Nate from…ugh…Gossip Girl), I really do think they should have went older and went for someone with more of a commanding presence.

Who the hell is Chris Evans?

Jim Halpart would have been awesome as Captain America LOL. Every 30seconds he would be looking at the camera with a smirk or grin on his face LOL

I think this could work. He looks all american, has a good base to start from so he can gain a more Cap Like physique, and I don’t think he’s a bad actor.

Hold on, how can he be two superheros? That shit ain’t right.

Yeah they just destroyed any crossover there.

A good majority of people are saying that his acting in “Sunshine” showed that he can portray a serious, commanding character. I will have to rent it to see…because I only see him as the goofy, comedy relief he’s most associated with.

Haha, yeah, my roommate and I had a discussion about that. I just picture Hulk doing his “Hulk SMASH!” schtick immmediately followed by some Jim eyes at the camera.

That’s my little problem with it too.

I have no qualms about Chris Evans getting the green light. I like him. And he is not that small, nor is Captain America that big. If some of you would do your research, Steve Rogers was a pretty frail guy. Not much was “manly” about him. After he received the shot of Super Soldier Serum, he got big and “manly”. But for all intents and purposes, he wasn’t that big. Let’s try to keep things in perspective, please.

I really don’t see how that’s an issue. The Fantastic Four movie universe he was part of is over and done with as it is apparently being rebooted(obviously…as that and sequels are all Hollywood is capable of making these days), and I’m pretty sure there was no planned connection between the CA/Avengers movie and the FF.

He did good in Sunshine. I didn’t even recognize him as the same guy at first so yes, he can do serious when he wants to.

However, like others have noted, this must mean a death to the Fantastic Four movie franchise or the substitution of that character.

This would be like the guy playing Green Lantern also playing Superman. Both characters are from the same universe and they both know of each other.

Reed Richards and gang are fairly prominent in the Marvel universe. With all of the movies they have planned, I would be greatly surprised if they never dive into the “Illuminati” of which Richards at least is a part of along with Stark.
