Brad in He-Man!

Great, now something else the newer lifters to repeat endlessly. The days of the Fight Club posts may over. The picture in the link is worth looking at.

BRAD PITT is Master Of The Universe in most girls? eyes.

But he could land the title for real by starring as He-Man in the next nostalgic movie remake.

Legendary Pictures ? the team behind Superman Returns ? are set to give the Eighties cartoon the 2007 treatment.

A movie source said: ?They are very keen on Brad for the role. He?ll have to bulk up though ? he?s very fit but not to He-Man proportions.?

If Brad doesn?t fancy beefing up, film chiefs have a back-up.

Glasgow-born GERARD BUTLER ? star of this year?s epic 300 ? is still in the running.

What’s Pitt gonna do, put on 70 lbs in 6 months? Not gonna happen.

Matt Damon has more muscle to start with and has the structure to put on a lot more weight than Pitt.

I’m sure Dolph Lundgren is available.

Ahnold for He-Man in 2007

This sounds like a stupid idea for a movie all around.

I’d rather see Angelina play She-ra.

i would bet movie producers can afford top dollar nutritionists with a library of steroid knowledge in their heads.

My vote is for Jay Cutler. Anybody smaller just won’t cut it. Sorry but part of me would rather see a shitty actor who looks the part instead of an A-list runt (Tobey, Topher).

at least they acknowledged the fact that he-man needs a really muscular physique…

I agree 100%

the rest of America dosn’t though

Yeah I think it sounds like a stupid idea too. It’s one of those shows that doesn’t seem to lend itself to being a movie.

Arnold in Conan had that He-Man look, I don’t think many (actually any) of today’s popular actors could pull it off. Maybe some unknown?

Have you ever heard Jay Cutler speak ?

they would have to dub it, and that always look like crap.

The He-man movie from the late 80’s with Dolph Lundgren was actually a pretty good movie, if you could get past the gayest costume in film history. It came on showtime or something about a year ago and I watched it for nostalgic purposes and actually enjoyed it.

Adam (I think is his name) sounded like a little wuss but when he changed to He-Man he sounded manly.

Perhaps they would only have to dub the He-Man voice.

How about Lee Priest? He-Man with an Aussie accent…now that would be something worth watching.

As far as Brad is concerned, I’m sure the studios would be happy enough if he got back into Troy shape.

Priest is too short.

And a face tattoo!! Although I suppose it is really easy to cover up with makeup.

I don’t think he should be as big as jay cutler, because he man isn’t just like a mass monster. I say triple H for he man!

Yeah, but ‘really muscular’ by Hollywood standards is 180 and cut. Brad had the attitude and swagger to play Durden, that’s what made that part tailor made for him.

He’s got nothing that He-Man should have. The ultra bare minimum in my mind is a blond Thomas Jane from Punisher. Barely. I still think he was way too small for that part, let alone He-Man. Brad can’t do it.

I didn’t think Pitt looked that big in Troy. Maybe big for him but certainly not for He-Man.

I think this is why, with the obvious exceptions, most super hero movies aren’t as good as the comics. The actors just don’t look the part. They are planning on making a Captain America movie. I can’t think of any big name who would look the part.

As far as Gerard Butler playing it, no doubt he is willing to put in the hard work but I don’t think people could get over seeing him as Leonidas.

I won’t complain too much whoever they pick as long as it isn’t another movie starring Colin Farrell with a bad dye job.
