Red Skull strikes me as having a PhD in being a villain. Everything he does is with surgical precision. That is Hugo Weaving. Viggo Mortensen is more like a freaking machete. Just hack shit up, plain, simple, and without prejudice.

You can see they got around the muscle issue by having the costume fit neck to boot like a suit. But I don’t know…I’m still on the fence about this. I’ll hold judgment till I see more.

Oh, they could easily fuck this up. They have NEVER gotten a Thor movie right (yes, there was a Hulk vs Thor tv episode from WAAAAAY back with Lou Ferrigno).
he hardest part is making the whole concept believable by live actors.
They just showed that Clash of the Titans failed at this. It HAS to be story driven, not all out action with no plot.

Those costumes look like something from an episode of power rangers or stargate. If they fuck this movie up it could scupper the Avengers film to a degree.
Yea, I mean on the one hand, the costumes look very ornamental? Which for kings is I guess status quo, God kings on the other hand? I’m not so sure about. And warriors, it needs to be functional and MAYBE ornamental, if the ornamentals make the wearer more intimidating more badass looking. For example a bear skull helmet or skulls on the shoulders is not all that functional, but it scares the shit out of your foes, in which case it becomes usefull.
It almost looks a little too Ironman. I mean Ironman is supposed to have a fucking metal suit on, it’s kinda his MO right? I guess if you showed this picture to someone with a cusory knowledge of comics and said, Hey do you know who this is? 9 times out of ten they are not going to say, Oh that’s Thor Duh!
