Whiskey!

Odd, I would totally recommend people starting with Glenmorangie. Tastes like water in comparison to when you are heaving the likes of Islay wiskies lol.

No idea why my response keeps turning up as me quoting you despite not being within the quote boxes…

I’m back in Winnipeg for a vacation and am looking forward to going to the liquor store later today.

not bad for cheap whiskey, still prefer Evan Williams for my bottom shelf whiskey though.

I was in Minneapolis this past Tuesday and looking for something to do for a day or two; almost caught a flight to Winnipeg just for the heck of it as I’d never been there before.
Both you and Winnipeg would have been the better for it!

Man you all drink expensive whiskey.

I live in Kentucky where you all are getting yours from. Still one of my favorite and the cheapest is Kessler’s. With coke, with water, or straight on ice - one of my favorites.

I prefer blended whiskey to straight. The whiskeys I enjoy the most are Johnny Walker Black, Crown Royal, and Kessler’s.

Looked far and wide for Elmer T Lee. Can’t find it in any liqour store near me. Picked up my favorite so far Woodford. I like the Glenlivet that I got but it seems like I always think I’d rather have Woodford.

I bought a bottle of Bulleit last year and had about two ounces out of it and my buddy didn’t want it and gave it back to me. That’s a nice surprise considering that a bottle is $40.00

I need more friends that drink/share whiskey. That way I could try out more before I buy. I have a small bottle of Jameson I got to try and I didn’t like it. I asked a few buddies at work if they wanted it and not one even likes ANY whiskey. I’d give you the whole bottle of Jameson for 2 oz of Bulliet to try lol.

Funny that no one would want it, Jameson is rather popular and has a smoothness that couldn’t really offend anybody.

Bulleit is pretty good. Nards did you try that Crown Royale Maple? It’s muy delicioso.

See that’s what I don’t understand. To me Jameson tasted thin and almost grassy tasting. As soon as I tasted Woodford I was mind=blown. Nards, you’ve had Woodford are there any whiskey’s close to it in taste. Lanky recommended Elmer T Lee but I can’t find that shit anywhere around here.

I’ll try a shot of it if I’m out somewhere that has it but i don’t feel like buying a bottle at the prices in Canada. I mean I have most of that Bulleit to finish in 10 days and I like trying all the different beer here.

If it’s legal to ship liquor in your state you could buy it online. You’ll end up paying an extra $10 in shipping but at $27/bottle, it’ll still be a steal.

I just got done drinking some Fireball…so I’ll go with that.

Found this diagram it shows Talisker up close to Laphroig
Do you find this to be accurate?
not even close to being accurate imo. Laphroig is not light by any means. I would put Laphroig towards the top right hand corner of the diagram.

its fantastic though. so is Talisker

Picked up a bottle of this to try this weekend. About 10.00 cheaper than Woodford and I’ve never heard anything bad about it. Supposed to be a good value.
