Hey, I'm 16, 5'6 and I weighed in today at 158. I'm an avid swimmer and weightlifter. I get most of my fitness knowhow from this site. My methods are similar to CW's methods. Currently, my lifts are a 225bench, 315squat below parallel, and my deadlift is somewhere approaching 405.
Currently, I’m maintaining during the swim season, and will begin going for my next goals on February, 275, 405, and 495ish by this time 2007. After high school, I think I’ll compete in a raw pl fed.
I take a serving of Surge and creatine pwo, and I think my nutrition is in check quality and quantity.
I’ll post a before from November2005@ 130 pounds and afters from November2006@ 160 pounds
I’d love some feedback and advice on planning the course starting February, as another nameless board offered none.
Those are some good numbers for your weight, but you are still very small. It looks like you already have your goals in place. 30lbs in a year is nice progress. Keep bulking and check back in when you hit 200.
Lol, when you say skinny, do you mean a decently low bodyfat, or that I’m just skinny?
At what point will I have a respectable build?
I don’t have a set size goal in mind but wherever I can get naturally sounds good. Frank Zane or Steve Reeves are good examples of where I’d like to get. However, I don’t really think I’m very aesthetically built. My arms for example are not very round at all and my chest doesn’t have a “full” look. My only strong point would probably be my lats and legs.
Your namesake, Sean “The Muscle Shark” Sherk, fought until recently at 170 which I would imagine means he walked around at 180 or thereabouts. So you want to be at least 175-180 assuming no changes in body comp which could make it slow going. Although you may assess at that point and decide you want to be bigger.
Aren’t you the guy on MH calling BS on everyone’s numbers and asking them to post videos to prove it?
If I recall correctly you referred to yourself as “jacked up”
I agree with the others. Your skinny and need to add some bulk.
I hate to say it but I don’t see you deading 405.

OICU…aren’t you the middle aged guy from MH with the maturity and security of a 13yr old? Going to “call me out and then you’re done?”
I’ve said before. I’ve no problem posting videos. I just can’t in the middle of the swim season. It’s not a big of a deal to get or not to worthless props from blatently disrespectful people like yourself and hurt my season in the process.
I commend you on your effort to grow both physically and mentally, with the help of this site.
Whilst you can obviously see improvements in your body, you have to understand that at 16, you’ve got a long way to go before you put on some serious size and shape to your body.
I’m sorry to say that at this stage, you’re very skinny but take heart…
Don’t let it get you down, just keep training. My step-son was a flabby “wanna be” when he was 16 (not insinuating you are). Just 2 years later, he’s a monster compared to his mates. The growth spurt kicked in and because he’d started training I guess, it seemed to hit him in all the right places. Broad shoulders, thick chest and back, powerful legs. Of course his maori heritage helped too.
I wouldn’t post any more pics of yourself until you’re somewhat larger and somewhat older, just keep reading, learning and training for now.
