By round 7 I was toast, 8 and 9 were a grind.

Monday
Run

1 mile easy run
3 x 400m - 1:48, 1:51, 1:53
Jog/walk 400m back to start
1/2mi easy run cool down

Legs felt almost numb today. Like when you sleep on your hand, but without the pins and needles.

I did an experiment last week. The first two weeks of SS I did 2 days of lifting and 3 days of running. Last week was 3 days of SS and 2 days of running. Mentally, I prefer 2 days of SS, and will continue that the remaining 3 weeks. Halfway through!

@anna_5588 Probably something to do with food. Since you didn’t ask, yesterday I ate:

  • Breakfast: Giant burrito with ground beef, eggs, egg whites
  • Snack: Protein bar and a handful of jerky
  • Lunch: lazy baked ziti, ground beef, protein pasta, cottage cheese, mozzarella, marinara, etc.
  • Dinner: Chicken meatballs with jasmine rice cooked in coconut milk with veggies
  • After squat snack: Apple with a hefty portion of mixed nut butter (been really craving nut butters lately)
    Grand total is roughly 2500 cals, I am not super meticulous with food measuring. Staying right around this everyday for the last few weeks.

I eat 1800-2k average a day (and weigh a lot less LOL).

your diet does sound amazing though

Hm. Maybe I need to eat even more.

It’s pretty awesome. The meals vary weekly, but they are general healthy.

I actually love when people share their diet. Gives me great inspiration, and also reminds me to not drop my food too much when I’m cutting weight.

I second this idea. *Comment partially made because misery loves company.
Could work well with your school schedule, particularly at 2x a week like me. Sessions take about 60-90 minutes tops. That includes usually having to wait for a rack.

Agree with you there. I didn’t realize just how much until I started SS.

FWIW, I like low volume high intensity, always been how I trained and just what I naturally gravitated too. Recently started a new program that has me completely flipping it around, crazy volumes at what id almost consider warmup weights, and it has done wonders. I dont think because there is anything special about it, but because it is forcing me to train in a way i normally dont because its ā€œnot what I likeā€

so really what im saying is, Peer Pressure works, do Super Squats haha
