Deadlifts were good, last couple of reps were shaky. Presses solid today. Really just a solid session over all. Week 5 is done.
Hubby and I picked up a bed rack and rooftop tent for our Jeep. Rack should be here today, going to install it then head out for a shake down run. I am curious to see if rooftop tents are any better than a ground tent.
Oh I am so in on this log. Iāve been looking at Gym Jones stuff for years, never ran it myself but always been really interested, canāt wait to follow along and see how it goes for you!
The Aussies I met when they came over for an internship in the U.S. told me all about the murderous wildlife over there. I donāt get how any of you stay alive; I donāt know if a rooftop tent is enough.
Good to have you along! Its been a great program so far, I am starting week 6 now. So much more conditioning than I am used to and I am all the better for it.
10 minute jog
3 x 400m - 1:44 on each
10 minute jog
Moving slow today. Couldnāt get more kick than 1:44 out of the legs todsy. Feeling heavy and lethargic, despite a relaxing weekend. Could be the two milk shakes and french fries. Diet was off this weekend.
Went north to a lake, passed by our favorite creamery Friday night, milkshake 1. Then Saturday the lake we were at has raspberry farms and therefore, fresh raspberry milkshakes. On the way home we were passing by a restuarant we hadnāt been to in 5 years, they serve what we have coined as Crack Fries. All of this was good for the soul, bad for the waistline.
As for the rooftop tent, sleeping 5 feet off the ground in Bear/Moose country was great for the anxiety. 170lbs of tent plus a bed rack on our truck was not. We have a soft, desert tuned suspension on our Jeep that is very weight sensative. The heavy tent put us on the back of the bell curve for ride quality and handling dynamics. Translation: I love driving my truck way too fast on desert trails, a rooftop tent takes too much of that fun. Long story short, the tent was removed as soon as we got home. @magick@simo74
We did take the obligatory roof tent on a beach photo:
Sounds like a great weekend with some much deserved relaxation and good food. The roof tent set up looks great and the view over the lake is perfect. Good to see you out angling your husband with those quad gainz too, LOL
10 minutes easy run
10 minutes @ 9:00/mile
10 minutes jog/walk cool down
5, 4, 3, 2, 1
Burpees and pullups
Still not much of a kick today. 9 minute mile was tough to maintain. Weāll blame the squats yesterday. Woke up feeling beat up. Iām feeling a bit more perky after this, but it is fading quickly.
Thanks!
I havenāt mentioned much here, but I am not cutting anymore. Slowly working my calories up, and therefore avoiding the scale. Last I checked was a month ago, and I was back up to 160, seems like that is where my body likes to hover. Mirror and hubby checks are both good though. Obliques and other new muscles around the hip are showing. Starting to get a line down the middle of my abs. I still jiggle, but I am at peace with that for now.
Sitting about 2100cal a day now, protein is high, meals are still 70-80% clean. Going to continue this for a couple more months. Planning a mini-cut later this year after another gaining program I have on the docket next. Then on to more mass gain.
Sounds like you are still leaning out while not ācuttingā, I wouldnāt change anything youāre doing tbh. If you start going the opposite direction, a mini-cut later sounds warranted, but it sounds like youāre doing a hell of a job recomping as is =)
