My goal is for asian people to yell “GODIZLLA!” when they see me walking down a hallway.
I was about to write that I was wondering if there is an inherent fragility to the male ego that make some wonder about size and then I stopped myself because I know the answer. Yes, there is. Penis enlargement and a preoccupation by some with being big enough is pretty weird. Granted this population here is a “sub culture” of the general population but have any of you ever paused and realized that the majority of our male population does not lose sleep over the size of his muscles? Granted there are those here that pursue bodybuilding as a serious hobby or even semi-profession but the rest of you? Why are you worried if you’re “big enough”? Me thinks the male ego is indeed very fragile.

How about “when you are not nervous in a silverback’s presence”
Whenever you feel like your big enough, final answer.

I believe you’ve missed the point. I won’t speak for everyone else, but for me, its not about what other people think of my size. Every inch I gain I know I’ve earned. So I want to challenge myself, to see how big I can get. It has almost nothing to do with the perception of others.
If most guys don’t lose sleep over the size of their muscles, its because they are afraid of the hard work it would take to increase their size.
And I think this thread was meant to be alot less serious than you seem to be taking it.

F#*k’en A !!!
dude your jacked! and youve made awesome progress so far that i personally admire but i guess you can only answer your question. What are your goals? Are you just trying to get as big as possible? Are you trying to get as strong as possible? do you wanna just look good naked? nothing wrong with any goal that you choose but i think choosing different goals at diff times and reaching them is very rewarding. just dont be the guy that wants to bodybuild, do mma, play soccer, and run track at the same time lol … i say just choose a goal and reach it and then find another one. how big is too big? depends who you ask i guess. proffessor x might say 230 ripped. some with diff aspirations might say 190 with extreme mobilty, explosive power, flexibilty, and endurance ala athletes. really just depends on what your trying to accomplish. either way great work and awesome progress!
Until the day I feel like its not doing it for me anymore,Ill continue.
when you dont feel comfortable in your own skin. when the choice of getting to the next bigger goal puts other priorities at risk. when the next level of getting bigger may have you take personal health risks you are not ok with taking (i.e. long and hard bulk cycle (i would imagine at your size it would be very hard to “clean” bulk and get the cals you need from all healthy foods : I may very well be wrong but that is the impressiion that I have / most ped have some negative health effects of some sort or the potential for it)
Also, man at your size you can channel your need to get big to other cool stuff that MUCH smaller guys like me cannot. You can focus on making your muscle more “aesthetic,” focus on having your muscles in better proportion, etc. This could be something interesting to do. You could also focus on lagging body parts etc. You could also become more of a power oriented guy.
I personally refuse to have a gut so if I get to the point where getting bigger would require me to bulk to the point of having a gut / not doing the amount of cardio I ENJOY doing (ex-long distance runner) then thats where i draw the line. However, I respect huge dudes because I understand the work and dedication that must go into it.

I am positive this thread would have been ten times better if most of the people posting in it were actually “big” at all.
The spirit of what this effort is about gets lost when in a room filled with people who aren’t and just may never even come close to standing out in a crowd.
I am sure the OP gets comments based on the way he looks, positive and negative. Pushing for a goal in spite of that is best understood by people who have accomplished it already.
holy fucking christ this forum never changes eh? how many of these cliche threads with their cliche responses does there have to be? fuuuuuck

Hey, the difference with this one is this has to be the first in over a year where the guy starting it actually looks bigger than most of the people criticizing him. I would say that is a good thing.
I wouldn’t mind ten more “my legs are too big for pants” threads if the guys posting them actually had BIG legs.

If it makes you feel better I had jeans actually split in the inner thigh/crotch region a few weeks ago; thought about starting a thread just to be a smartass but decided against it … I’m not saying my thighs are hyoooge or anything, just that I had really old jeans ![]()

I hear you, man ![]()
I posit: people who actually COULD complain about such things, won’t for a few reasons:
-it’s not bugging them
-they don’t think they’re god’s gift to humanity for the muscle they’ve already built
-they know that they’ve still ways to go, despite their successful journeys so far
And hence, they don’t really feel the need to fish for compliments. If they should do so, a simple body shot avatar would suffice to garner kudos.
And that’s the funny thing: the average compliments fisher doesn’t provide photos.

I agree in an ideal world this would be the case. Its never going to be the case. Move on. I cant beleive how much time people on these boards spend arguing, but then i guess thats not gona change either so ill just learn to accept it and not let it get to me.

Wait…you want a DISCUSSION FORUM that lacks debate?
What do you get out of logging in here?
There is only so much discussion that can take place about actually lifting weights and bodybuilding because most of this is about the effort you put in yourself in the gym.
I would like to know where to get really good clothes for big guys…but the advice usually comes from people who aren’t big and don’t know what I’m talking about…like how they don’t make dress shirts with a size 21" neck. They skip right from 20-22 which means if you are caught in the middle, you just have to look like shit.
X man, can’t you take them to a tailor and get the neck taken in from a 22?
I don’t know. I think everyone’s always willing to be stronger unless they get injuries or a nagging feeling that their body just can’t handle bigger weights without hurting in big compound lifts and they rep away with small weights. And with strength comes increased size. So short of pros that achieve that some competition goal, I don’t see what’s going on in the average big person’s head who wants to stop, short of the above.

X2 at 5’9" I wear a XXL shirt that fucking hangs to my knees and of course ballons at the waist so when I wear my dress shirts to work there is extra shirt tucked in. If I get it to fit my waist and height I couldnt even cross my arms. And big and tall shops are not the answer sorry run into the same problem. Sorry to rant, when you spend all week wearing shirts that are not comfortable it starts to piss you off.

Well, I don’t remember replying to you specifically, but rather the OP and the subject in general. Furthermore, I think the OP was quite serious, but maybe some of the replies were not. No sir, I don’t think I missed anything at all.
And I really expected the last retort at some point. And it’s bullshit. A lot of men do not give a hoot how big they are and many of them engage in some physical activity. I think your mind set relative to this puts you firmly in the camp I spoke of. There are MANY athletes that could care less how big they are. There are many men that train for fitness that do not give a shit how big they are. I realize that to know your motivation for wanting to be big requires a bit more self examination than some of you might be comfortable with, but that’s not my problem ![]()
