Sure it makes sense, you generally chastise anyone who isn’t hyoooooge, which makes your comment surprising, and in my mind 205 isn’t really big regardless of bf% at 6’. Yes he looks good, his arms and chest look well developed, but if he really is 205, then he is not big enough yet, as there are other areas to bring up to speed in relation to these good points.

In regular clothes - if you want to look big walking around the general population- I think you need to be 240-250+ at 12% bf or less if you’re around 6’
You don’t understand anything I type if you think people are being “chastised for not being huge”. To go even further and tell me the way I am responding is out of character when you don’t even understand my character is the height of arrogance and ignorance on your part.

How about you actually try understanding exactly what I type from here on out instead of listening to only part of it and making up the rest on your own?

My response here is exactly how I would always respond. If you didn’t know that or understand it, then you clearly haven’t understood shit about what I’ve typed ever.

Better yet, I’ll wait while you find a quote of someone being chastised simply because they weren’t my size or bigger.

The OP is weighing about what I was when I first came to this site only much leaner and a little older. The real question is, why you are trying to down play the progress he’s made. Where are YOUR pictures?

I looked at your profile and for someone so caught up in making it seem like the OP isn’t big enough, you have NO pictures available of how huge you are.
I don’t feel the need to validate myself with pictures on this site. That is my general impression of your persona from what threads I’ve read here, take it or leave it. You take things to literal and to much to heart IMO starting arguments with anyone that doesn’t take your viewpoint.

I’m not downplaying his progress, in fact I complimented his arms and chest - the thread is titled are you big enough? I’ve already commented on what I think is big enough at that height, which is 240-250 under 12%.

In bodybuilding, you can not simply go off of numbers. Numbers alone are what would have led you to believe that the OP isn’t very developed…even though he clearly is. That is why calling out specific weight ranges for how much someone needs to weigh to look huge…has just been proven to you in this very thread to make little sense outside of general application across large groups of people.

Yes, we can say that most people will not look very big at 6 feet tall and anything under 220…but there will be outliers who go against the rule making those pictures more valuable than numbers on a screen.

I have personally posted pictures of a guy who competes in NPC at 6’2" and only 185-190lbs…but who LOOKS like he weighs about 220 because of muscle shape.

You were confronted on what you alone typed. If you can’t deal with that, maybe guys like you should not go into discussion forums.

I don’t think you can make an accurate assessment on his “bigness” and overall development until you have seen something besides a side profile pic and have some background context. My general point is at that weight you won’t really look that much bigger in street clothes at that height relative to the general population. Argue all you want about muscle shape, but I don’t think it plays as much of a factor as you’re making it out too. I’ve never seen anyone that is 205 that looks enormous in real life. That is my opinion, obviously you don’t agree, as such I guess we can agree to disagree on that point.

In the quest for size, I think ideally you want to be able to definitively standout from the rest of the general population, no questions asked, regardless of what you’re wearing.

Again, like others said, it’s all about what you are comfortable with. I want to be big, actually obnoxiously big to the general public as my friend puts it, but not so much that I will have trouble sleeping, or walking around outside, etc etc. For me I assume this will be around a relatively lean 250ish at 6’2".

I m 6’ tall. When I started lifting I was 160lbs. My goal was 175lbs. I was a strong 175lbs benching 375lbs, squatting 405lbs and deadlifting 405lbs for 10 reps. I thought I was something but realized I was nothing special, got bored and set the goal of 195. Got to 195 got bored now Im 205. Bored again now Im reaching for 215.

My question is when do you think you are big enough to stick with a certain weight. I dont want to stop! Some people call this “Bigorexia”, I call it being dedicated and always wanting more! What are your thoughts?
Whenever you decide you’re big enough.

He doesn’t chastise people who are not hyooge, he chastises people who hold themselves back and refuse to get it. there’s a big difference.

267.5 lbs.

I love all these people posting exact number they want to be… how stupid.

When you no longer want to get bigger. There is no universal answer for this.

When women scream and children hide.
When men bend on one knee and pledge their alliegence.
When trees bow down to recognise your majesty.
You are big enough.

Or, you’ll just know.

When you turn green.

No natural bodybuilder is in any danger of hitting “too big.”

When Jenna Jameson calls him. He is big enough.

When I’m dead or can’t wipe my own ass which ever comes first.

I’m a little confused right now. If the dude really is the avatar pic my mind can’t comprehend a few things. Granted my legs > my upper body, but I have sprinters legs, not bodybuilders legs and I’m just a smidgen under 6" and 200 Lb yet this guy looks like a monster compared to me. It’s just not computing, plus I don’t ever really think I was in awe of a 6’ 205 Lb physique. Yet here this guy is looking like a monster. Either his legs are stork legs or thats not him in the AVI. If it is and his legs match, I don’t know, I will feel like I’m in bizzaro world.

Anyways, now that I got that out of the way, I think having small goals is a great way to make achievements. If you are 150 you should not set a goal of 250. You will get frustrated and quit too soon. Instead like the OP did set a 10-15 Lb goal, hit it and it will keep you motivated because you achieved a goal.

That is me in the picture. My quads have pretty good size but I have high calves or whatever excuse people use to say why there calves are small. Im at 9% body fat.

That is what most are overlooking. Either way, keep up the good work.
