People post what you eat for breakfast and could explain your program with it. Thought it would be a nice topic so people could find new ideas for breakfast so that they don’t have to eat the same thing every day.
I’ve been eating oatmeal w/ whey and blue berries. On the week days I make an egg white omelette w/ free range turkey sausage and veggies, take it to work and eat it about 10:00 am or so.
I’m trying to lose fat so its a good carb timing strategy. Carbs first thing in the morning then low carb until post workout. The omelette is also better than meat and veggies for a morning snack.
I eat 6 eggs raisin bran or oatmeal with nothing in it. I may have some nutella when I first wake up or peanut butter because it’s cheaper and maybe some whole grain bread. Try to get a fruit, a grain, and a buncha protein.
Oh, and I have 2 slices of bacon on leg day. I don’t know why, been doing it for a while. Makes me happy, probably makes no difference as far as training. So, nutella, eggs, raisin bran, banana, and milk. I enjoy breakfast when bulking.
4 eggs (or more, with cheese, if I’m hungry)
Lots o’ Steamed Broccoli
1 piece of fruit
4g fish oil
OR:
2 scp whey
1 banana
1 tbsp olive oil
Instant coffee (optional)
All blended together in a delicious chocolate banana shake. This is my “shit I woke up late” shake.
I am on the anabolic diet and performing high intensity workouts in the Crossfit vein in order to cut bodyfat. My diet is constructed to minimize the intake of blood sugar impacting carbs, while intaking enough protein to maintain muscle mass. This is the start to week 5 of the diet and about week 8 of the workout, and so far it seems to be working.
At the moment I’m trying to drop weight, so its pretty small by my normal breakfast standards:
Wake up and down the following ASAP
2 x HOT-ROX Extreme
glass of ice water
cup of coffee
Then cook:
3 x whole eggs
~50g ham & salami
Which I eat with:
More water or coffee
1 multi-vitamin
3-5 x 1000mg fish oil capsules
When in maintenance its usually 1 cup of oats, 50g of whey and 1 cup of blueberries.
When all-out bulking (rarely for me being a FFB) its usually 1.5 cups of oats, 50g of whey and 1.5 cups of blueberries. I’ll often replace the blueberries with peanut butter to mix things up.
I have 2 breakfasts
0400
handfull fish oil caps.
32oz milk (if I have it)
1 chicken breast or 1/2 pound steak (self cut from lean roast)and 6 eggs
1/4 cup cheese cubed
no later than 0900 and after working out
carne asada burrito (3/4 pound steak,pico de gallo,guacamole with habanero salsa)
44oz Iced tea
32 oz with 3 scoops muscle milk
i say 2 b-fasts casue I do not start my day untill after I hit the taco stand
that is my leisurly sit down bfast the other is made the night before minus the eggs its just something i grab as I am getting ready to go
