I usually go to bed at about midnight and I get up at around 8-830, I don’t need an alarm clock, but for the past few weeks or so I’ve been waking up at around 5…I don’t feel hungry and I don’t have to take a piss (although I down some protein and carbs when it happens) and I go right back to bed, usually taking about half an hour to fall back asleep. I never in the past set an alarm to wake up at this time for another meal or anything, this all just started randomely. Any ideas of what’s happening?
Congratulations, you have good sleeping patterns and are well slept. If you have no sleep debt sometimes your body just wakes you up when it feels its done sleeping. Also since you live in BC the days are getting longer and the sun is coming up sooner.
Depending on how you think i would say that your body is more in tune with the world at large than we are able to measure. just make sure you get to bed on time and don’t worry about it. Good chance to get some washing done. clothes pile up.

When I embark on a higher frequency program with balls to the wall training, I have this too. I will go to sleep at around 11 and usually wake up at 7:20am with an alarm, but when training harder I wake up about 6am naturally, and can’t fall back to sleep.
I do feel refreshed though.

It’s spring, people tend to wake up earlier in the spring. Try to use the extra energy to be extra successfull.
What do you guys who sleep until 7:30-8 AM do for a living? Just curoius, I’m not trying to be dick or anything, but I have never had the luxury of sleeping past 5 AM for over ten years.
Yeah, I’m a total lamer. I go to bed at 9… even on the weekends…
It actually started when I picked up the Waterbury program. I am gettin great results because of the extra shake I’m getting in the middle of the night though so I guess I don’t have much to worry about.

I wake up 7:30am, working in graphics I start at 9:30-6pm.
