When I was in school I was always able to wake up, well this is with my mother repetetively yelling at me. On the weekends I would always sleep for about 10-12hours I thought this was rather normal because I wrestled and trained a lot and between all the school it was just my body trying to get extra sleep.
Now it’s the summer time and I just can’t wake up in the morning. I am constantly sleeping for almost 12hours everyday and if I do wake up in the morning, say 4hours earlier, ill toss and turn and then immidiately fall back to sleep, this will happen maybe a dozen times until its early afternoon. What the hell is wrong with me? Any ideas??
you just need to get motivated dude, have something to spring out of bed for in the morning, something you are hungry for.
If we have no reason to get out of why would we? I think we all love our beds and our sleep you are in a position to make the most of it, but you also realise that its not for the best and not healthy.
The harder you work in the day the better ‘deeper’ you will sleep at night, create a goal for yourself linked to your wrestling that you can acheive before you go back to scholl, and then get up early everyday and bust your ass to achieve this.
If all else fails ask your mum to start kicking your ass in the mornings again!
The alarm clock won’t work. At least for me it doesn’t. Unless I have something to do in the morning when I wake up, I simply won’t. I can set 3 different alarm clocks at far away points in the bedroom so that I have to get out of bed to turn them off if I want to. I’ll just end up getting out of bed in a half-daze and turn them all off and go back to bed.
Start taking some yoga or tai chi classes in the morning that are loaded with hot babes. That’ll get your ass outta bed.
Its weird how the subconscience works like that, I find that a lot in lifting and wrestling too thats stuff im not even consciously thinking about effect me.
Go out and buy the most annoying alarm clock you can find, set it for the morning. put it on the other side of the room so you have to get out of bed to turn it off, dont go back in bed.

I would rule out anything medical as well… thyroid problems, anemia, depression. Also, had you been overtraining? Do you feel rested when awake?
K…good luck!![/quote]
Aside from this, of course, which I agree with…you sound like a teenager. You need boat loads of sleep as a teenager…so don’t worry. Actually, appreciate it, because you’ll never have so much time to sleep again.
Do what you have to. What’s really strange is when you get to your 20’s and find that you don’t sleep all that much anymore…and if you want to know what goes on in your 50’s and 60’s, ask Rockscar. Old fucking man…

I’ve woken (not sure if thats a real word) up in the morning because I needed to move my car to avoid getting a streetsweeping ticket. And even with getting up, getting dressed, moving my car and coming back inside, my ass still found its way back to bed for a few more hours of sleep.
And drinking tons of water before bed? My fuckin ass! Your subconscious mind is pretty powerful in determining what actions you take. If your subconscious mind says sleep, and your conscious mind can’t find anything on the schedule thats important. You’re probably gonna go to sleep.
