steroids isnt the only way to get big. you have to train smart and eat like a man to get big.
Also strength has nothing to do with size and vice versa.Read a lot more and you will learn that.

I’ve been off for 4 days, Weapon-LESS has been reading up a storm and he’s no sharper than he was before.

i admit i was wrong.size has everythign to do with strength. I can’t help if i have read and received different info and my mind is still clouded by many myths like huge guys are slow and they are unfit, and can’t run to save their life.
well it’s just i am still learning and it’s very rude to be called a dumbass just because i didnt get the right info.

You can shut up though until you know and not spread misinformation. Or simply preface your posts with “But i don’t really know what I’m talking about yet [I still have a lot to learn]” so you don’t misinform others and actually make them dumber.

Also, none of this info you read said that strength has nothing to do with size. It said the efficient nervous system functioning is one component of strength and that high reps are one good approach to adding mass.
From this you somehow extrapolated that size actually has nothing to do with strength and heavy, low-rep sets are a poor way to train if you want to get big.

…And herein lies the problem.
Nothing has everything to do with anything, man.
There is a very wide range of techniques and types of training that work for some people, sometimes.
Try not to get too campy in your thinking. You will learn a lot more.
Find out what works for what purpose in general, then go from there.

He manned up. There’s hope for you man. The roaring avalanche of information in this game can be confusing and overwhelming. Blanket over generalizations with a grain of truth run rampant. Everybody’s just plain wrong sometimes , lesson learned, no big deal.
I’ve jumped the gun a couple times since I’ve been around here and wound up feeling dopey too.

As you should. Now use that hate for something useful. Read, comprehend, and try to integrate what you’ve learned into your training. Evaluate the results. Grow.
Oh yeah. Don’t post if you don’t know what you are talking about. That way you need to apologize less.

Manned up? Manning up would have been admitting he’s wrong, then stopping there.
What happened to no excuses and no apologies; where men are free to be men. This kid represents the dumbing down of the site. He’s the lowest common denominator. He belongs in a Teen T-Nation forum where excuses for ignorance are not just allowed, but are a given.

I have to agree. Manning up would have involved shutting up to begin with and realizing he didn’t know what he was talking about before even typing (let alone getting to this many posts). This isn’t an experienced trainer here. This is some guy who just started lifting who trains at home yet somehow has such a skewed understanding of weight lifting that he truly thought strength was some unnatural phenomenon where little guys are surpassing everyone bigger than them in that area.
The one good thing is that he doesn’t just rely on this site for info. Past that he comes across like most newbies in they believe every line from anyone trying to sell something. It also shows that nothing beats a solid base education in biology, anatomy and physiology, and shutting the hell up and watching more experienced people train (and then asking questions without the attitude that you already know everything).

He did 100% more than 99% of the kids who show up here. I was trying to give him a little credit. We were all young, impressionable and reactionary once. I understand your point, but I’m giving him the benefit of the doubt that he’ll be a little wiser from now on. For his own benefit, not that he actually “owes” anybody that.

Alright fair enough guys. Maybe I’m too soft. I just thought it was nice to see him say he was wrong publicly and got the impression he’d be a little hesitant to spout off so quickly next time. That’s more than is seen from most of the know it alls that show up here.
