last deadlift 315x8
last bench 205x8

i did a terrible squat the other day, wasnt feeling great so i went home…weird thing is i actually got some DOMS today after only doing 2 shitty sets. im going in to do it over today so ill post up afterwards.

5’10" 210lbs
8% body fat

Told you you weren’t bigger. 325 bench max, 345 squat max, and 400 dead lift max (hit the gym youngster) And no, you have more than 12% body fat according to your back pick.

omg you fucking stalker lmao. if i have more than 12% body fat that sucks for you dude cuz my back is 100x better than yours. you must be using a broken scale and doing your lifts completely wrong also, because if youre 20 lbs heavier, 2 inches shorter and put those numbers up (aside from the weak deadlift) you should be a shitload bigger than you are because you dont even look like you lift.

Here’s a tip, start trying for heavier lifts. For example, your bench is 205 at 8 reps. try 225 for 6 and see if you can do it. You may not a first but keep pushing yourself, because at 195 lbs you should at least be reping 245 10 times.

Also, deadlift doesn’t make your upper back bigger genious, that’s for dumbell rows, straight bar rows, or even cable machine rows (if your gay) Dead lift is designed mainly for your quads, glute, hamstrings, and lower back.

Finally, a little running helps, In my back flex pose, that picture was taken a year ago when I was at 170 lbs and running a 5:45 second mile. I was dieting with my meals consisting of no more than 20 grams of fat a day. Even then I could still rep 225 on bench 12 to 15 times.

I’m not trying to talk any more shit to you but just trying to help you. Lift heavy (without hurting yourself and with proper form) and eat every 2 to 3 hrs. Trust me, your lifts will improve and you’ll be amazed

the rest of the shit youre saying makes some sense, except for the deadlift part. deadlifts definately work the traps, i always get doms in my upper traps when i do them, it may be the way youre gripping the bar if you dont, go for a wider grip and youll feel it more.

my bench is weak because i have really long arms and do the full ROM. having long arms hurts my bench press and makes it harder to grow bi’s/tris but the deadlift is easy for me

being an ecto is the same reason i dont train heavy, its supposed to be better to go for reps to failure so thats what i do.

you should also post newer pics, the reason i dont feel like posting them is for the same thing that happened to you; you (supposedly) got a lot bigger yet you have pictures from when youre smaller so i was assuming you still looked that way. so if youre as big as you say you are then just update your pics.

I haven’t maxed for a while but here are some working weights.

I’m 5’8" 218lbs. 10%bf
Squat: 315lbs.for 20 reps
Bench: 140 lbs. dumbells for 12 reps (incline)
Deadlift: 405lbs. For 15 reps

nice lifts dude

I am 33 and 5’10" @205lbs

bench 315
squat 385
dead 470
pullup 135

tried 410 dead lift today…my back felt rounded when i got it off the ground about 4 inches…so i quit to lift another day. any form insights out there?

The dude that said deadlifts dont make your upper back grow is so full of it. Deadlifts will make your friggen chest grow, they are such a total body movement.

heh noticed a lot of the shorter guys have very strong legs, pretty interesting considering most shorter guys I’ve known are very stocky for size and have pretty big legs.

and here comes the short jokes

Bench : 195
Squat : 295
Deadlift : haven’t maxed since January but back then I did 315 x 2

Clean & Jerk: 165

Chin-up : bodyweight + 42,5 DB for 5

5’7", 170, trained for 8 months.

Thanks for the advice, yes i do need to post some better pics and yes my dead lift may not be that great, I’m working at it.

I totally know what you mean when you say your an ecto, I’m the same way and it’s definatly easier to go for the more reps. I just find it harder to grow when I go for the light weight high reps. There’s nothing wrong with it but I (like everyone on here) want to get bigger.

Does dead lift hurt your lower back at all because I feel alot of tension in mine when I’m done. I’m pretty sure I’m doing the form right but I still feel alot of discomfort in mine.

As soon as I get acess to a camera again, I’ll post some updated pics
