I am courious to see how many other members take regular waist mesurements to get an objective indication of how much fat they are carrying.
I got to thinking about this because I currently have a waist circumfrance of 87cm (34.3 in) at 88kg (193 pounds).
This is the biggest I’ve been, and since I intend to continue gaining weight I wasn’t thrilled with it. I did however feel better when I realised that the last time I had a waist measurement of 86cm about a year ago, I was a full 4 kilo (8.6 pound) lighter (wich I thought was interesting as I’ve been reading the set point thread in t-cell).
I’m determined to push on and keep gaining, but thought it would be interesting to discuss so, What is your waist measurement? (and it might be more interesting if you add your weight and hight also).
when I was up to 208 lbs/20% body fat it was 39" around the belly button.
Now I’m down to 165 lbs/12% BF 33" (perhaps slightly lower, been a week or so).
I have a pair of work shorts that I was to a point where I had to slightly suck in to make them button. Now, they almost hang off me to the point of needing a belt.
Going to take a slower approach this time with bulking, and watch the quality of my carb sources a little better

Wait what?!?! didn’t you gain like 30 lbs of BW to get to 208?
40" at 6’5 268lbs. Even fairly lean my waist is still about 36-37". I guess I have a fairly “blocky” physique, hence I have a goal of seriously heavy delts. I do store a disproportionate amount of fat in my lower back though. Recomping at the moment which should knock a few inches off.

I haven’t measured my waist in a long time. In fact, I don’t want to. The only measurements I take are quads, arms, calves, and shoulder girth every couple months.
To me, it’s too much of a mental burden to worry about actual waist size when trying to put on size. The number is meaningless except in the context of the other bodyparts-- it’s more visual. I can monitor waist size in relation to shoulders/lats/chest with a mirror and pics.
Having said that, I wear size 38 jeans/dress pants (sometimes 40 depending on brand) which are loose around the waist, but tight in the quads. I’m on the verge of needing to move up a pant size because of my ass/legs. Hair under 5-9", 240ish
36 inch jeans are just right at a BW of 220
34 inch are tight (ass and legs) and 36 are loose (waist) at 195 (current BW)
at my lowest weight 125lbs, 32 inch jeans were still tight.
a 100 pound swing, and my waist size changes only because my ass and legs.
