I thought they had more and looked it up. There are eight.
-
Agape (ἀγάπη): A universal, unconditional love for all people, often described as selfless and spiritual.
-
Eros (ἔρως): Named after the god of love, this refers to passionate, romantic, or sexual love.
-
Philia (φιλία): The love between friends, a deep bond of loyalty and affection.
-
Storge (στοργή): Natural affection and tenderness, particularly the love between family members like parents and children.
-
Ludus (ερωτοτροπία): Playful or uncommitted love, like a crush or a flirtatious love.
-
Pragma (πρᾶγμα): A practical, mature love that has developed and endured over a long period of time.
-
Philautia (φιλαυτία): Self-love, which can be healthy and positive or negative and selfish.
-
Mania (μανία): An obsessive or possessive form of love.

Good thing you posted this. You beat me to it.
There is huge emphasis on romantic love in the West, I believe, with far less on the others when marriage and “relationships” are discussed.

This is what brings people into a relationship.
This is what a good relationship turns into. IMO.

There has to be an island in Japan like that.
I’d like to have one that includes a rave night. You know how bonkers cats go with one laser pointer, right?
Now imagine a hundred of them with disco balls, lasers, cat nip cannons, etc.
