What Are Your Goals?

I guess I have to develop a goal. Right now I am 47 yrs. old .220 lbs 6ft. 1 in. I don?t know my body fat. I have 34 in waist. It would be nice to clean and press my own weight.

weigh 185 bench 405 ,squat555, powerclean near what i bench and increase my speed and vertical along with the muscle gain

Now: 48 years old, 5’ 11" about 190 lbs.
now: 125 lbs military press, 175 lbs pwr clean, 155 lbs front squat, 320 dead lift, 10 pull ups. 4th kyu aikido.

Next year this time. Weigh less than 180 lbs. Body wieght military press, double body weight dead lift, 20 pull ups. black belt in aikido.

Modest goals but I have a very demanding job.

No more than 6 years from now - retired.

Retired and ready to kick ass. Perfect time in life to be a bad-ass.

35 years old

Currently:
1.5 body weight bench
2.5 BW Deadlift
2 BW Squat
20 min. 5K run

Goal:
2 BW Bench
3.25 BW Deadlift
3 BW Squat
18 min. 5K run

Most important obstacle is to stay injury free, currently at 22 fractures over life time. That equates to a whole lot of training interruptions. I think I’m more familiar with rehabbing my body then I am with training, which is ending as my life style choices are changing to put myself at less risk.

Hey everyone. This is only my second post, but been hangin’ around for awhile. I’m 43, 5’9" and 170. Don’t know my bodyfat, but am a size 8/10, if that helps.

That’s one of my questions…What’s the best way to measure. They have those breath test things at the gym, but I’m very sceptical.

My goals are…visible abs after 3 children, bench my weight, Im benching 100 now; improve my back (have had to lay flat on my back for days a couple of times a year). To combat this, I’ve started doing deadlifts just recently, and I’m in love!!! I already to DEEP squats too. Any input from ya’ll is greatly appreciated!

Oh yeah, forgot(Hah!). Lose another 15-20 lbs of fat. Funny how that slipped my mind.

5’7" and 235 lbs with visible abs? Jack, you are a beast. A big, mean, hairy beast. Actually I’m not sure about the hairy part or the mean part but it sounded good :0

i’m almost 36…5’3", 106, approx. 14% BF

goal for end of yr. same BF, larger glutes, tighter hamsstrings and abs, larger shoulder ‘caps’ at least 3-4 additional lbs. of lean mass…pic is current

I want to flip a car. Ever since I got hit by a lady talking on her cell phone, and knew I would go to jail if I punched her, I have wanted to be able to flip a car.
I’m gettin closer. Anybody have any tips?

Excuse a newbie for butting in on your vet site, but do you plan on doing this with bulking/cutting, repeat yr. after yr. and so on, or just a continuous plan of diet/lifting?

I have had a few goals. My first was to lose over 120 pounds in 6 months. Done. My second goal went hand in hand with the first to get to 11% BF. Done. My current goal is to now gain 30 pounds of lean muscle. 4 pounds away. Beyond that… To get to 210 and still be between 11% and 10% BF. I will get there by Sept or Oct.

Start 278 pounds at 38% and 6 feet tall.
Lowest 152 pounds at 11%
Current 178 pounds at 12%
Goal 210 pounds at 11%

I started all this in Oct 04

My goal is to get bigger, stronger, leaner and look good naked!

I’m currently at my biggest and strongest but know I can go much further.

My ultimate goals I’ve recently set include:

Size: 165-170lbs at 10-12%
Bench: 240-250
Squat: 315
Deadlift: 350-375

It’s a process. Kind of a two steps forward, one step back approach.

There will be several buking and cutting cycles involved before I hit my ultimate goal.

40 years, 6’1", and 185, ~13% body fat. Goal is just to look fit without my shirt on and feel healthy. I am there.

Right now 41 6’ 210 at 12% BF

A year from now …

217 at 7% BF
