Also he may only compete with a suit so his absolute best lifts will only be attempted wearing one. The raw lift may just be a casual gym lift so it will be a bit lower.
My mid-term goals are for this time next year at the IPF World Jr.'s in Moose Jaw:
Squat: 330/727
Bench: 210/463
Deadlift: 330/727
Total: 870/1918
At 90kg Jr.
These would be HUGE numbers for me and would take a great year of training to reach, they are a ways away and I realize that. But if I have an amazing, driven and focused year of training I don’t think they’ll be unreachable. October 30th will be my first meet in a long time and an important building block towards this goal.

Where would that put you compared to recent 90kg junior lifters? I was looking at the recent results from this year for the women and there are some freaking strong, tiny little girls.
Good luck on the meet. Which one is it?

You’ll never really know as guys move up to open, but to give you an idea 895 won my class this year and 885 took second and third. My best hope is individual lift medals, 330 might get me a squat medal and 330 would win a deadlift gold most years. Not to mentioned the national records…either way I just want to make lots of progress and have fun.
The meet is the Edmonton Power Surge, I’m hosting it at the U of A as well as lifting.
Pull 800+ at WABDL worlds in november!
well,…i’m a beginner so all your PR’s and goals make me seem weak lol.
these are my goals for june 15, 2011(my 17th birthday)
sumo deadlift:500lbsx1
standing military press:260lbsx1(i know this is the powerlifting forum, but i’ve always liked military pressing better than bench pressing
squat:200kgs(440lbs)x1. i do these at an Olympic lifting gym, hence the kilos.
gonna be hard to hold myself accountable to these!
PR’s set 3 months ago(have improved alot from then.
sumo deadlift:315lbsx1
conventional deadlift:295lbsx1
military press:130lbs
atg olympic style squat:60kgs(132lbs)x1
parallel squat:250lbsx1
good mornings:175lbsx3(these are higher than my Olympic squat, anyone wanna chime in if this is normal or not?)
weight:165lbs
