I just want to get stronger than I am now & continue getting better with form.
I guess my number goals would be
SQ - 425
BP - 405
DL - 525

Pulling 675 would make me feel good about my senior year and be a solid kick in the dick to every setback I have ever had
nothing else is really on my mind
widowmakers with 405 would be pretty fucking sweet too I guess[/quote]

A 20 rep squat basically.
I want to total 1500 raw within the year and 1600 within two. BW doesn’t matter but likely 242s, maybe a light 275
Smoke past elite at provincials in January- I’m tired of kissing the bottom side of it.
Current meet best at 60kg:
squat 140
bench 70
deadlift 160
Gym best
squat 147.5
bench 75
deadlift 165
Goal meet
squat 150
bench 80
deadlift 170
Short Term:
Weigh 250 and deadlift 835-850 at the NOTLD
Recover quickly from getting my knee scoped
Get a solid raw meet in Febuary and hopefully be recovered by then
Long Term:
2-3 years:
Single Ply-800, 600, 900
Raw- 700, 500, 800
At 275

You really think that at that point you’d be getting a 100lbs on your DL from a single ply suit?
Anyway, this is about goals, so I’ll play. I’ll be doing a meet November 20th and I plan on doing 225kg(maybe more though)/140kg/260kg raw at -110kg as a junior.

I don’t know why he wouldn’t depending on where he’s weak. I don’t get much less than that myself at a best guess. I don’t really know my raw anymore but I’d guess I get 80lbs and I’m a 60kg lifter.

I don’t know, just seems like a lot of weight for a conventional DLer. I know a 900+ puller and he’s not getting close to 100lbs from a suit.

Thats because I plan on getting stronger. Not just getting better with the equipment. If I can’t add 50-100lbs to my deadlift in 3 years, then I have no business competing anyway. I get about 40-60lbs out of my dl suit. So, I pull close to 800 raw now, if I can’t get 860-870 in a few years either I’m not trying hard enough, or my program sucks, or I spend too much time on the internet.
Last time I checked, the most weight ever lifted was done conventional.

And that’s always bothered me. Where are the mack daddies of sumo lifters out there? I guess that whole leverage advantage thing goes out the window around 800+ lbs. Damn.

I mean it seems like a lot of weight to be getting out of a suit for someone that pulls conventional. 40-60lbs seems way more in line with what I was expecting. I’m well aware that the heaviest pulls are conventional.
^^You’re assuming he wants those goals at the same time.
