I know this might seem like a simple question but i looked around google (the ultimate source of knowledge) and found no definite answer. So what are they exactly? Do they refer to how Kroc held the Db’s when he was rowing (angled in a bit) or does it refer to the rep range (20’s) or how he lets the arm reallllly stretch at the bottom??
I think i got the gist that they were to improve grip strength, but i’m not sure…if anyone has the answer, and this thread could be ended in like one reply, it would be appreciated.
I think any exercise named after him just means all out, high rep, not so much worried about form (but definitely not horrible form) sets of an exercise, and cheating at the end to get the extra work in. I think it’s just a name for bustin’ ass.

they called them kroc rows due to the high-rep/busting ass.
they angle in a bit, because, if you have ever done hard ass db rows, your grip slips and the DB stays in your hand by holding up against your wrist at an angle.
hmmm, so basically high rep and heavy rows with a good amount of cheating…got it. great vid post too, i followed the related vids for good elitefts vids. it was a seminar.
No doubt, he uses straps now, but he’s also repping 225. Forevernade, I’d sure like a little insight to your comment, it sure comes across a harsh…
What’s the joke? That he is an ex-marine? A testicular cancer survivor? A pharamcist that works well over 60 hrs a week? trains with an unmatched intensity without anyone to push him most ofthe time? A powerlifter that regularly outlifts lifters in a heavier class? Enlighten us please.

I’m fairly curious about that too…
He’s definitely one of the guys I admire most in the strength game.

Not mention being able to remain relatively lean (gotta be sub 15%…which is unheard of in the age of fat ass powerlifters )

You get haters when you become excellent at something.

yeah, noticed this in one of his vids, top 4 abs visible i believe. strong mofo.
Kroc is someone I truly admire for his hard work. He’s busy enough to only receive 4 hrs of sleep per day due to his heavy work load and kids. His energy in his workouts always get me pumped.
