Thanks man. I have given up on finding a work out partner, they never last. I would appreciate you checking up on me, accountability is a must in this game.

Let me get a bit closer to your numbers and I will come down sometime.

OK im not meat but let me say FUCK waiting training with those bigger stronger etc thats what we all need. Sure im looking for any training partner that will bring ther intensity I dont care if its a 10 y/o girl as long as she truns it the hell on. But when and if you can train with those bigger stonger etc. Its a huge friggin aid.

I wish I was still in VA id be driving to train weekly man someone with dedication, drive, and intensity is hard to match and bring you to the next level.

Nice work on that squat keep it going,
Phill

ME Squat

I figured out why my squat felt so bad. I was trying to stay too upright, like a o-squat. I fixed that and kind of feel like an idiot for not realizing it.

Power Squat
barx bunch
135x8
225x3
275x1
315x1
Belt
365x1 PR
335x1

365 broke parralel, I hit a wall about a quarter of the way up, but I got lift.

Good Morning
225x3
245x3
275x3
Belt
295x3 PR
315x3 PR

Calves

Awesome day, I’ve got 405 by the end of the year.

Sunday- 10/29/06- RE UB- High Vol Week

A)Neutral Grip DB Press
90x7 100x10 x8 x7

B)DB Hammer Curl (alternating)
55x8 60x6 65x5 x5

Notes:

PRs on the Hammer Curls, haha.

But seriously, I felt pretty beat up from my lower body workouts a couple days earlier (only got 3 hours of sleep that night). Glutes, forearms, lower back, hams, quads, rear delts, and upper traps were all pretty fried. Tried doing some rows and they were weak as shit so I decided to back off today.

that was a good workout-simple, short, but very affective. I liked your weight choices. you didn’t exhaust yourself getting up to your max. the only suggestion I could give you and this is a personal thing- after I hit a ME for one, for the last set I like to drop back to about 60-70% and raise the reps back up to around 5-6 and really concentrate on form. I Love to do some pause work for the last set.

good job!

I had to turn my computer sideways to watch it. To be honest, it’s too dark for me to see anything. Try again with more light.

Thanks man, I’ve done some rep work as a final set before, and it is definitely a good way to end the workout. I’ll try and work it back in and see how it goes.

I like keeping my workouts pretty simple. After two big exercises, I’ve got enough left for some accessory stuff, and anything else I’d do is basically a waste.

exactly!! to get strong, do the work but leave something in the tank.

Jesus dude, and your profile says you’ve only been training almost 2 years? That’s fucking nuts.

Wish I could have actually seen the video though, couldn’t even make out the barbell haha.

Hey guys, AA said I should come say hi over here. So of course I spend several hours trying to catch up to the thread over a couple of days. Damn. All I can say is everyone is making progress, and that is what I like to see.

I keep my log and vids in my profile, and it’s mostly updated.

Hey Phill, you are in Kansas now? I thought you were up with Nate in Montana. You do get around. Let me know when you get into Oklahoma and we’ll get some deads and eat a steak. I’ve watched you quietly since before your mom passed, and you are an inspiration. I appreciate the chance to read your story.

Right now I’ve got some dueling weights going on with AA and WS4DB over in the brotherhood thread.

405 bench for me, 455 for AA
495 squat
405 front squat
545 dead - I hit 495, he hit 500 at the same time, so we’re still moving.

I’m a fatass, so I will be adding in work after new years to cut some fat, but no diet for me. Just more work. I’m building a sled and sand bags for GPP stuff.

Gotta keep up…this is a damn good thread!

LOL your tellin me
I know man for sure

OK I should have deloaded today I knew should been sick slept over 12 hours yesterday and didnt eat much etc. need a new bar etc. But I went for it on full sumo pull and friggin missed and it was on the very last few inchesd where I just locked out 700 Plus no prob.

any way Ill post the work out later ended missing two lifts just ran down.

I will say if the strain is what matters on ME day I did get it I gave it my all. A new one for me on the DL had the elvis leg going on turned Im sure 15 shades of red and when I finally stopped pulling felt like I blew an ear had a small dab of blood in the right ear broke some vessels never had that prior.

Think I need to start backing off a week every 4-6 PR’s are coming great in everything but my full pulls.

you know you are pushing to the limit when you blow out an ear. I’ve ruptured the membrane in both my ears. If I’m really having a good day, I can get the nose gushing pretty good.

meat

ME bench
bench paused
0x10
135x5
315x3
405x2
495x1
520x2
405x12
decided to not go for a PR tonight. I’ve put about 30lbs on my bench in the last month. Instead I decided to get two reps with 520. felt good.
decline bench
495x10
405x20
floor press
315x8
405x6
495x4

It was a good workout didn’t beat me up at all. the higher reps gave my a pretty good pump and hopefully will allow me to test my dead on wendsday.

off topic, has anyone checked out the thread on benching without full ROM. Professor X is convinced that pausing on the bench is actually resting. the argument continues to go on and on. I’ve had a good laugh over it pretty much all day. When I did my pause work tonight, I kept thinking-“man,I could fall asleep with this bar sitting on my chest”

Yhea ive had the nose. the eye vessels the ear was a new one. That was odd.

Pisses me off it was on a 5lb PR that should have fallen easy. I hate fucking excuses as well the deload shoulda, coulda, woulda BS yhea prob should have but I made the choice to go and damn it after making that choice I should have made that damn lift.

Been pondering it today and the past 6-8 weeks and think Ive made some errors I need to fix. Ive been pushing it but not not to the damn limit I need to really go over that edge on one or two lifts on ME day and cut out the bull shit limit the acc work. Then do more of it on my DE day.

Fact is I just flat out need to get stronger and I didnt not today. So need to hit like I said two big lifts hit em hard then hit maybe one acc lift and some abs save the rest for another day give those everything I got.
