I agree dint do it that often but go by feel ive had days doing say speed DL’s and I know shits feeling good. and went for it and hit PR’s if things are feeling right DO IT dont let the “program” tell you when to go balls out if your feeling it really feeling it Do the damn thing just adjust the rest of the training week from there

LOL Ok lets call this an added grip training day LOL
I went and got my open class Motorcross bike I sold my dad a few years back when I went to grad school and then Thailand its just been sitting son going to fix the ffew tyhing from it just sitting front brake master cylinder (read no front brakes) etc. clutch froze due to sitting nothing big just stuff and ride it and put up for sale for him.
WEll put new fuerl in it tried popping clucth against waull etc just wasnt cutting it so took it to the street got em un forze and well shouldnt have tbut did a lil riding and got into it a bit Man forgot how damn fast that thing was lil whacky with the bad arm etc to hang on LO.
Anyway the ride ended with the cops and me lol. My luck they didnt enjoy me on a non street legal bike on the wrong side of the rode on w wheelie coming strtaight at them ![]()
cops were cool as hell though and just ran my DL and let me go Prob good as was prob going to be a little to much stress on the arm good times need to get healed up for sure take it for a few ride
Other then that I wasnt going to but tomorrow marks the second Strongman Comp I was signed for and have to miss the Kansas strongest man. Im going to go ahead and head and watch it though itll prob chew at me having to watch at this point I think itll be good get that fire really going to get me back. Ill try and get some pics and post anything interesting maybe Ill just jump in that damn thing one armed I havent figured how to clean a log yet though LOL
Oh and if your moms still round Give her a big Ole smooch this weekend and for all you married saps have fun with the honeydo lists LOL

Accessory work is supposed to be low volume but I tried to rep out with 135 at the end just for the hell of it. It’s nice leaving the gym with a pump.
My knees have still been a little sore. I have been doing TKEs as prehab, and I have been wearing knee sleeves when I squat. Hopefully they will be like my elbows and heal on their own. I am praying I don’t have any ligament damage.

first, ya shoulda at least taken everything apart and cleaned the damn thing. Brake cylinders, clutch etc. blast the rust out add some grease.

Hell yea Phil get back on the bike, I used to race MX every weekend with my quad, I took it all apart and redid EVERYTHING to it to get ready for next race season and got broke, and found strongman, lol all it really needs is for me to add fluids, I will be rusty when I start back, not sure how to fit riding in with strongman training, I hate hitting doubles with sore legs!

Thanks for your concern, and the compliment, Phill. I really don’t have time to post very much, and this site is being overrun with ass clowns, so I kind of avoid the forums more often than not.
I was browsing this thread to see if my training partner (harbinjc) had posted his meet results from his meet on the 4th. He got best lifter, but I’ll let him tell you how he did (if he would like to).
I threw a post up saying I probably wasn’t going to post here anymore, but I think they threw it in some forum that no one ever reads. So, just to reiterate what I said then, feel free to PM me if you would like, even if you haven’t seen me post here in awhile.
I’m doing a push/pull in a week, and am planning on hitting mid 900s at 198. My highlights of the training cycle were a 505 box squat and a 500 3 board in my single ply. Good luck guys, and make sure to congratulate J on his meet.
Question for the more experiened please - I will do my 1st PL meet next weekend. I’ve read a lot on here and on EliteFTS about what to do and not do. But I haven’t seen much advice on what to eat before and especially during the meet. I use Spike, Surge and protein shakes regularly now. It is a fairly small meet, expecting one flight of SQ and DL, and two of Bench.
I started lifting originally to help with diabetes, so I know I need to keep my cals up. I’m thinking now to do a full Surge after SQ warm-ups, and perhaps another after DL warmp-ups, and eat bananas and apples and maybe a protein shake in between. Comments?

actually I had the same question before my first comp. Phil said just eat what you’d eat before a workout and of course the surge during. Don’t know about the diabetes thing though.
My meet had 2 flights and a bench only so it was close to 6 hours. I should have planned better. Only had an extra bagle and it was green.
so to answere your question, I don’t know.

Stronmgman meet was great had me dieing to get in there and think Id have faired very well if injury free im ready to get back damn it. All in all good ppl good times and well ran event Ill post pics later.

Man was a giood time really wish i was in this event was a small one would have been a good second meet and think id have faired very well but had a good time met some great ppl and snapped a few pics.
The above was the tens and Masters log pressing
after the log press there was the Car/truck DL, then on to Stones, and ending with a pretty brutal medely of farmers, Yoke backward trauck pull.
Few injuries a cpl black outs lil blood here and there on one particlar coated three of the stones to the point of looking like red beach balls.
The two best divisions competition wise were the womens with two new to the sport and then two battling head to head a lil 20 somethiung and a 40+ gal bith just kickin ass.
a few of the heavy teens were down right frieghtening thinking of how well they were doing at there age, one particular the kid taht ran away with it, Had to be giving up a foot in height to the nearest competitor but he just had the mentality to get this shit done non stop just Nutty.
Oh and one novice was Damn impressing lil guy was 158 lbs and on the DL the novice class used a trap bar. anyway damn kid pulled 425 lbs I think it was over 2.5 times his BW for 17 reops I think in 60 seconds lost out to one guy but he also gave the guy 70lbs in BW LOL
nice talking to local Pro Eric Todd, the owner of NAS was the MC and just good ppl in general cant wait to get in there need to get this arm straight and get back to being able to DL etc

Kept the weight on squats light and got some volume in on it. My briefs are getting more and more jacked as the weight comes along. It took about 300 to reach parallel. Good Shit.
