Being as there are about 750000000000000000000000 books on lifting and it’s just too hard to choose, and also Julianne is the most amazing person in the entire world, I’ve decided to compile a bunch of Westside articles together for the old man for Fathers Day.
That brings me to my question. What would be the best articles to give him? He lifts a lot, but is not into reading pages and pages and pages of info, so only the “meat” of Westside is what im looking for. Ive got the Periodization Bible part 2, but what else? I tried searching for Dave Tate on here, but many results i got were just forumn posts, even when searching articles. Any thoughts on the best Westside articles?
Dave and Louie have a lot of good one-page articles. Just look through elitefts.com and see what type of articles you like.
I would also suggest “The Eight Keys” and “The Education of a Powerlifter.” They are both a little longer, but are good reads. And they both can be found right here on T-Mag.
Man this is a tough one because if you want to become better you must educate yourself as much as possible, which requires a lot of reading. My advice is to go to Dave’s site and read the articles yourself and then decide which ones you think are best. Just don’t overcomplicate things, because that is what most people do when it comes to Westside’s form of the conjugate method. Also check out Louie’s articles, since he is the foundation of all of the methods that Dave describes.
