Wendler's 5/3/1 Program - Part 5

I usually stick with 3 sets of 2 for DL assistance, whether it be rack pulls or otherwise.

Great, thanks for all of your advice. I think I’ll also take your advice and continue pushing those last sets, but add in singles (in a Joker set style).

I am starting the BBB template in a few weeks, been doing full body template until recently. I was thinking of doing it over a 3 day week so therefore over 5 weeks including deload.

Do you guys think since that it is over 5 weeks per cycle I could add some good mornings to squat and deadlift days without it being too much volume?

eg

Deadlift 5/3/1
Squats 5x10@ 50%
good mornings 3x10
abs

same for squat day.

I know in one of Jim’s books he has assistence on BBB template with Leg Curls but I don’t really rate them compared to GM’s or RDL’s.

Anyone still here? Its been about 2 years since I last posted. Basically been running some version of 5/3/1 for years now. Sometimes bastardized completely, other times following by the book. Always sticking to the general lifting principles Wendler has laid out.

Last night I lifted over double bodyweight 5 times. And it wasn’t even that difficult.
For a lifelong weak bastard like myself - that is a huge huge accomplishment.
