Isn’t it supposed to be 67.5 not 70?
Ahahah, you know there was no leg drive mate. Only strongmen assume leg drive is involved, everyone else assumes strict unless otherwise specified.
Although this does remind me I need to consider how to occasionally work in some push presses.
That depends entirely on whether I decide to puss out or not.
I know, I want to get on your nerves ![]()
In that case, you would be better off just directly insulting my performance like @aldebaran and @alex_uk tend to do.
We’ll get there eventually.
Impressive pressing brother.
I think it’s fair to remember your body weight when PRs are achieved. For me, my first five plate deadlift was at 225 lbs. I was 240 lbs when I pulled 545 (5 plates plus a 25). My 505 pull at 225-230 lbs was a new PR at that weight and that made me happy.
What the hell was this? I thought we settled on the Training Maximally sets and reps?
No worries mate, this is just the bullcrap assistance stuff, it barely even registers. When DL day comes around, it will be TM style for sure.
My BW now is around 81. I believe both my Press and Bench PRs have both come around this weight (and I am close to them again I think). Squat PR was probably closer to 85 kilo many years ago. DL PR was a smidge over 5 plate, and I guess I did that at 80 kilo or slightly lower.
So weight wise I am in the general neighborhood of where my all-time PRs are, except for squat. But I no longer care about lower body PRs, only decent strength and athleticism.
I have no recollection of this, but I have a short memory and no desire to scroll upwards.
Well on my part that was not an insult because @Cyrrex probably lifts more than I do ahahah
Well you DID call me old fart or somesuch.
So can we get a collective decision here: are we roasting @Cyrrex for the unfortunate decision to become old, or are we admiring his lifting prowess? Because I’m a simple man and I don’t have space in my head for both.
I’m roasting the fact that he half-thinks he’s too old for being great and an inspiration!
I don’t really think that. I’m fucking amazing.
Off program day, so that means a bit of pulling and lat work. Went easy on the pullups this time, and sorta easy in general. Just work, not trying to accomplish anything.

Tomorrow is Bench Day for week 3, and that is always terrifying. I will prepare tonight by over-drinking.
Oooooooooh this explains my constant drinking these last few weeks then
Guys, I have been too shy to post this up to now, but posting a progress pic here and would appreciate comments.
Please ignore the towel, it belongs to my 80 year-old aunt.
LOL I legit laughed
